Will there be Split view / Multi window support?

3/2019: blank screen on recent files

markovchains on

Everyday there is a update. Yet the basics don't work. crap. ------ Can't believe "Recent file" is removed. For iOS 10.3.3 users, R.I.P. Heck! Isn't iOS 9.0 and above supported? xxxk! On iPad iOS 11.4.1, "open" could navigate to iCloud drive, DEVONthink to Go, On My iPad, Dropbox, Recently Deleted. On iPad iOS 10.3.3, "open" only goes to iCloud and DEVONthink to Go. that's it. Did the developer like us as user to teach him/her that iOS file system is different across iOS versions? If he/she ever realize this, will you take a second thought to remove "Recent file"? Will iPad app be the replacement of Mac app? The answer is plain NO. The app developer is sub par! That's the issue. Edit: Easily add file provider? are you kidding me. I swear to god the only file options I see is the fxxxxg iCloud on iOS 10.3.3 That's it. Did you read my message? Wasting my time. You'll be really helpful if you did not do anything at the first place. Just leave them the original 1. remove the tab. go back to REAL full screen on iPad 2. bring back the recent files. 3. bring back toggle on off the esc menu. Give me MAX spaces to check my codes. Remove all those bells and whistles. If you do have time, I don't mind you add more native vim commands. The more it is like Unix vim, the better it is. Trust that the vim is a gift from god. Edit1: iOS 9 iOS 10 R.I.P

Some feedback

This is an good app to write code on iPad. However I think more languages should be supported like Scalia, OCaml, TOML and further more. Hope your team can support more language later. Also, can I edit vim confit for personal use? Not require to install plugin, only default vim setting option is enough. PS: It is surprising that Haskell is supported! Incredible!

Editor is good, git is bad

Gitlab integration is not great. It would get corrupt / wouldn’t prompt for merges and conflicts. Ended up throwing away changes made elsewhere.

Git integration is broken trash

The git integration is broken. Refuses to commit and push. When I pull IT LOST ALL 4 HOURS OF WORK CHANGES. I want my money back.

Unable to connect via ssh

I’ve tried setting up multiple SSH connections and none of them work. I have reached out to their support but they have not responded. Feel really disappointed to buy this app and not be able to use it.

Worked years ago but no longer

A Bavarian on

These days it suffers from disappearing “back” buttons in the settings menu, no or zero byte file listings, and not found file paths, which makes it basically unusable. The app is no longer recommended - the current version should have never passed the App Store review.

functional but can be better

levincoolxyz on

United States

Grabbed it on a sale (thanks) and love that I can directly clone and edit github as others mentioned. Has a slight learning curve (setting and user guide takes a few taps and scrolls to read), feels like this is tailor made for people used to vim’s style. Auto completing quotes didn’t work all the time (turns out its because I didn’t name the file with an extension). Some functions only gets undo by using software keyboard not cmd+z, for example when tabbing multiple lines using the software tab key (is it a magic keyboard/iOS limitation that hardware tab key deletes selection with a tab character?), or after search and replace. Also would it be possible to have redo shortcut as well for non-vim mode? Another minor UI issue is that the software keyboard buttons messes with the ipad built-in swipe from the bottom functions when using a hardware keyboard.
