c2c Train Travel: Buy Tickets

Figures out the best fare automatically so no messing about like other apps. No fees.

Must people have to use this app - like me and it’s just so poor. Regularly doesn’t work with apply pay or PayPal. Using Credit does not work - stupid things like choose your address when using Apple Pay -keep having to select the card to load the ticket -just amateur hour - but I am forced to use to avoid queuing…..

Often does not allow card payments. Won’t always carry through Gold Card discounts. Appears to be erratic pricing. A train crash of an app. And our government wants to close ticket offices lol

The ability to Apple Pay has been non functional for weeks, reached out on Twitter very early into the failure and weeks later it’s still broken. The workaround to use a payment card adds unnecessary delay to buying a ticket. Yes the option to save a card exists on the app, but no chance of saving my card on an app with this level of response to its users.

On many occasions I have been charged for a fare followed by an error so have had to buy another ticket and never get a refund for the 1st purchase. This has happened on many occasions and no one is willing to help l. I have contacted my bank to say this is a fraud/error but have never been reimbursed

To begin with, I lost two of my smart cards. One was stolen, one was lost I cannot remove the stolen card details from the app and neither can I reported stolen When I lost my second card, i was able to order a replacement and paid £20 to transfer my ticket allowance from the lost card to the new card. I received the replacement card by post and could not confirm receipt of the card on the app because of a server issues. I’ve been backwards and forwards with the customer service team to figure out a way to accept the new card on the app/my account, and the transfer the money I am owed to the replacement card. One month later, this issue is still not fixed and my money are blocked with c2c. I cannot register the replacement card separately to my name either. Customer service have asked me to order yet another card and they will try and transfer the allowance again. This has been an incredibly painful experience with backward and forward emails and 0 phone calls from the management team. The app has potential, saves a lot of time and hassle, however it needs more work. I’d rate the app a 3 and the customer service a 1 for not providing the service I have paid for.

Constant bugs and crashes with messages to upgrade to most recent version when there isn’t one.

The concept is great but it’s often going down or features don’t work.

This app would be great if it worked it demands too much re entry of details and always has issues loading onto smart card

Unfortunately I have to use the app as this is my best train line to the city for work. The app constantly times out meaning you have to start the ticket purchase process from the beginning. The most annoying part of the app is processing payments for your tickets. At least once a week you will process the payment and the app times out, you then have to buy the same ticket again whilst waiting for your money to go back into your account from pending. Please fix asap! It’s so simple, remove the time outs on the app, they are pointless and useless!
