Filters are lacking compared to the web version. I have to sift through 1700+ comedians in the app, whereas I can look at separate genres such as Late Night, Standup, Instagram, etc. in a browser. I got two thirds of the way through and the same 6 artists started repeating as I scrolled, then the screen went black. Lost all that progress. Somewhat related, I also can’t save anyone to a favorites or wish list to save up gift ideas for events coming up, which would definitely make me a frequent app user (and subsequently help me spend more money in it). Instead I think of Cameo as a gift idea maybe once a year. I somehow have a “Following” list from whenever I last used the app but can’t follow or unfollow anyone anymore, so I guess I’m forever following Matthew Perry, which just makes me sad.

They never do the job within the time requested.
Twice I’ve ordered, twice my order has expired with no explanation, just a note saying our order is expired. The first time I complained Cameo contacted the person making the video and then it was sent to me, now for the second time the aren’t even offering a refund, just credit to their site, which is useless if no one ever fulfills the order. Proceed with caution, especially if you’re not trying to lose the actual cash you spent for possible use on Cameo later. Very cool idea, very bad service.

Celebs don’t respond
I think it’s a great idea. But how do you force a person with money and fame to respond. I’ve waited over a week for several responses and DMs but did not get any. I’ve spent a couple hundred. I asked if I could get my money back but they told me all they could do is put the money towards other cameos (which nobody responded to those either). They should just take the celebs off if they aren’t active. Especially if they have it tagged that they will respond within 24 hours. Great concept, hard to execute.
Loss of money
Better hope and pray your order goes through or you won’t get your money back for expired requests
