Worst app ever. Cost us a vacation at a spot we wanted to go to. App is very slow. You’re better off. Going to the website. Horrible horrible horrible

I have tried to use other apps to find campgrounds and I am finding that this one is the best for finding campgrounds that have vacancies and fit our requirements in that we have set in our filters.

Campspot has done well to create an app that serves the market place well. But that app will cost you in ways you won’t anticipate until you use it. They provide a great system for campgrounds to leverage for online reservations, but it has opened new revenue sources for campgrounds but letting them charge you a LOT of money to simply reserve a specific site. The only advantage you get from it is to see which campground owners are trying to milk you for every dollar they can. And on top of it I’m starting to see smaller fees associated to cover what I assume is the app itself. I could muster that, but not paying upwards of an extra $50 to “lock” the site I selected that appeared to be open for a single weekend of camping. Highway robbery. When I find a campground using it, my first step is to look elsewhere for a campground that doesn’t and will only book if there is not another suitable option. If campground site location is important to you, and you want to save yourself money, you should do the same. Then let the campground owner know that Campspot cost them another customer.

Still can’t see Greenbriar Reservation have reported the error multiple times. Can’t see anything about my booking.

Such a very nice place to stay and relax. Boonedocking camping with quiet surroundings, beautiful small farm and lake. Owner Chris is very accommodating! Enjoy!

I have used this app the past two years as a musician at Texas Renaissance Festival, Todd Mission, Texas. The app shows those reservations. I cannot get the search tool to let me make a new reservation for this year to the same campground. It wants to steer me to the patrons’ campground or tell me there is no such place as Todd Mission or Texas Renaissance Festival—let alone “vendors’” campground. Booooo.

Very difficult to book a reservation. No clear path to reservations.

Do not pay for a subscription. This is an awful app. Poor interface and now all I get is a ton of spam in my email. Apple Maps is still better and that isn’t saying much. GPS directions are slow. I missed a turn and had to drive 20 minutes before I could turn around. You can’t paste an address. WTH?
