Works fine for me, everyone else that can’t figure out how to use this app and gave this a 1 star rating are just dumb.

3 and a half stars

Previous ratings don’t do this app much justice, understandably. It’s not the most user friendly experience, but I have managed to add YouTube and Netflix to my Pioneer DMH-Z6350bt headunit. It’s a bit tedious to setup, but once you login to your YouTube and Netflix account, it remembers it. You can add any website to your home page and it automatically remembers your passwords. I don’t think you can mirror your phone, but if I manage to figure it out, I’ll update this review!

Wouldn't have bought head unit if I had of known how poor the app works

Purchased my head unit after it being suggested by the installer, had I have known how little effort Pioneer put into the app, which supposedly allows you to use your phone to connect, I wouldn't have bought it at all, if I could return the head unit easily I would, very disappointing as I have had pioneer head units in the past, but this is just embarrassing for Pioneer to put their name to

Won’t update firmware, hard to use the app to change the receivers interface and at times slow.

Reading the feedback too late.

I came looking for answers as to why the brand new $850 head unit wouldn’t connect and now after reading everyone else’s comments it make sense. Pioneer should be ashamed of its poor app interface alone but for it to be so difficult and frustrating to connect is another level or wasted money. Fix it- your loosing customers!!

Hopeless connectivity

After jumping through numerous hoops to connect this to my cars head unit when I go to upgrade the firmware it constantly says the connection has failed and to reconnect. This is an endless cycle of hopelessness. Avoid this and Pioneer head units at any cost.

App needs over haul

Hard to use, clunky and unresponsive. The app is hard to connect and firm-ware updates don’t work through the app. Cmon pioneer, if your happy for consumers to fork out as much as we do for your premium head units at least have the decency to have a fully functioning and capable app that is from the 21st century. BTW, the 9” floating head unit rocks, just need to up your game on the app😁

Woeful Connectivity

Just installed my new Pioneer head unit and went to pair it with this app. Despite trying numerous times it would not pair up. I’m a reasonable tech but man this app, or the head unit, or apple car play make the install process very painful. Pioneer - you guys need to make the install process much smoother and fix the connectivity issues otherwise you will turn off Customers.

Hopeless connectivity

Purchased pioneer because it’s supposed to be top quality. Dreadful app that forces wifi connection that causes music to skip whenever you go under a bridge, toll boom, mobile tower or underground carpark. Tried turning wireless connection off about 30 times but keeps forcing itself to wirelessly connect even when plugged in with a cord. Probably more likely to be apples Apple’s fault for making CarPlay so precious and uncooperative.

Worst thing ever and still no response from pioneer

Horrible app.
