Not going to pay for something that used to be free.
Ive been a paid subscriber- haven't used in awhile- now when accessing the app i am prompted for two new trials for two new apps - and NO option to get to the app i am paying for! Fix this guys!!! If you are going to pivot give me the option to continue - if one of the new options is the same - carry my existing past the trial to when my subscription ends- if i migrate will i lose all my tracked data?
Cardiogram: Owned by Indian investors. 1: Health Catalyst Capital Lead Investor Funding Round Series A - Ilumivu Partners Charles Boorady 2: Pisgah Fund Funding Round Series A - Ilumivu 3:Knightsgate Ventures Funding Round Seed Round - Ilumivu "Asheville, NC based ilumivu will use the acquisition and investment to grow its personalized decision support solutions. ilumivu expects growth to include scaling its existing operations as market adoption increases and expanding through new solution offerings. Founded in 2009, ilumivu supports healthcare research...". Blah blah blah. Translation: it's an investment pool charging you money for subscription so they can collect your wearable data, tied to your are, gender and your health conditions / aspects, so the data is easily databased. If the app is free, there's no way to effectively manage the collected data, because most people won't sign up or provide crucial details which make the data marketable to various health care and other types of institutions. That's why the app abruptly became 100% monetized. You get to pay for data collection and storage for them and then they use your data to make money. App doesn't provide anything that's not already free. Tip: I completely ended my migraines by completely stopping eating wheat, sugar, processed foods, strength training and losing some fat. I suffered with migraines since childhood. Tip2: Exercise, eat better, eat more protein and less carbs, don't eat three to four hours before bed and your resting heart rate as well as sleep heart rate, along with all other good heart markers will improve over time. I promise.
I used to use it actively and paid for an active subscription, but over time the features have gone downhill and it has become more difficult to use. It doesn't even run on my phone any more despite multiple attempts to reinstall it including the various troubleshooting steps, on other devices the interface has become cluttered and difficult to use, and the services it provides are often better provided elsewhere. It's a shame, because it has some great potential, but it has been moving in what feels like a bad direction for quite some time now.
Got a notification today from Cardiogram (along the lines of) “it’s good to worry” clicked on it. Turns out they had ceased any and all free options and wanted me to sign up for a subscription. They’ve responded to nearly every other review by saying they announced it in late 2022, well, I downloaded after that and had no noticed pushed across my screen since then. No push notifications to subscribe or lose data, nada. In the end the last thing I’m going to do is pay for a service to collect and sell my data. Yall don’t get to double dip on my health’s dime.
I’ve had this app under the free version for years now solely so I can track my continuous heart rate. Now there is suddenly now free version and you have to subscribe. It’s also an expensive ripoff for what they offer you. Bad business move. Will be deleting.
App now unusable without signing up for free trials that I don’t want. Load page is for 2 free month trials that I don’t want and can’t get to regular Cardiogram app without signing up for something. This is unacceptable! Please fix ASAP!
No more free version so I’ll just move on to the next best option.
I’ve been using this on my watch for years just for the real time HR complication. I honestly didn’t even remember I had an app for it on my phone. Now everything is locked behind a subscription. I just needed that one thing instead of this bait and switch. Now Cardiogram has my data AND charges me to use it. Useless app now. Deleted!
