Tried this with my Sony a7iv. USB connection worked initially then refused to connect. Wifi connection worked ok, but was cumbersome compared to Imagine Edge. It’s possible the issue is the camera, not the app, but I don’t have the energy to troubleshoot further. Maybe I’ll check back in 6 months and see what’s changed.
It can’t find my Sony A7IV most of the time. Other apps work great, but this one struggles. Such a shame.
100x better than Fuji remote camera!!!
Great way to get raw files to iPhone through WiFi. Also many times I will use airdrop from iPhone to Macbook Pro for more robust editing. The editing of raw files within Cascable is just ok. Seems to produce good results just not as robust feature set as others and a bit clunky on my iPhone 6S Plus. Excellent for people who want to edit a couple of photos at a time without fussing with SD cards. I think this app has amazing potential and hope the developers keep up the good work.
Doesn’t work. Don’t waste your time or money
I have a Canon M6 and no matter what setting I have it on, I keep getting told that I'm using the wrong mode. So all l can do is trigger the shot?
Thanks to a response from developer, the app now works. Issue was not the app but rather the wu-1b. Suggest developer post this fix in the app notes. Now it works great.
I tried to use Cascable with my Olympus OMD EM1 mark II and had some difficulty but managed to make it work. Compared to the Olympus free app built for their cameras this free app had nothing extra that I can see, and lacked some features. Importing Raw files would be superior to the Oly app, but is a paid Pro feature. The ND filter and star calculator are good, but not convenient to use unless your camera is connected - the app would not stop exclaiming every few seconds that the connection failed, with a big notice front and centre, if I tried to use the app without connecting.
Finally, an app that imports the full res .NEF raw images to Lightroom CC over the built-in wifi of my Nikon D750. It allows me to use my custom Lightroom presets that I’ve created on my desktop and apply them to full res raw files while on the go which for me is the first truly professional option for mobile phone photography sharing using a DSLR and raw files, giving me the same “look” that I’m going for with my photography when I edit on a desktop computer :) It’s wonderful.
