Super! But brainrot warning

To the app itself I’ve got nothing to say but fantastic! I’ve had it for about 3/4 years now and it’s super easy, only reasons I haven’t been posting is my own lack of motivation and because of all the brain rot on that people post. So warning to that. (There are people that don’t post brainrot and they are fantastic programmers!)

fix your app immediately

I have been using Castle for only about a few months now and it’s really fun and a great idea to be able to create your own small games but there a bunch of problems that i wish could be changed. While the programming is straightforward and simple to understand, you can make pretty “real” GAMES if it was expanded upon with more options and less tedious, because oh my god, if you’ve spent a while on a making a deck with a lot of code, changing and adding code is the WORST and takes FOREVER. I do get that one is supposed to make something small with these “decks” and it’s not always supposed to be used for games! Sometimes it’s simply just a text saying “i changed my oc!” Or “i am taking a bit of a break!” I think here should be a difference between actual games and experiences, and community and posts and such. I think the idea of exploring real experiences and easy to create your own is great, but i think the swiping mechanic is the worst way to represent decks and basically TELLS the user to create small, unoriginal, boring remixes and react beggars just for the likes. I think the swiping mechanic or the “Home” page should be removed completely and instead have a better way of exploring decks, there should be a distance between games, small little experiments, posts, and news/updates. It’s pretty much impossible to make a hard worked on game get attention because it has a menu screen and 6 seconds is over the user attention span so they will swipe away immediately. And the app itself is in portrait mode which is obviously trying to get the tiktok users to swipe away on decks instead. And making games in portrait is quite awkward and cramped, i don’t see why a landscape mode wouldn’t work with actual games. I heard a lot of people talking about switching over to “Julian’s Editor” because of Castle’s community. I got a tiny peek at it and it does everything i think Castle should have been, except for the multiplayer kind of roblox style of games, and i think the editor in Castle is much better still though, it shows actual games people have worked on that you can actually put your time into playing, and stuff like community posts and stuff The way of finding decks sucks even more because once you’ve already viewed a deck and try to search for it later it’s gone because you’ve already seen it. The “Reacted” or “Recently Played” lists in the explore tab doesn’t help much as they only list like 10. This also makes it impossible to update or make a demo/beta or
