The Cities and Knights expansion introduces various new gameplay mechanics that add even more variety to Catan. Invest new trade goods in city improvements to build one of the three metropolises of Catan – but beware of the barbarians attracted by Catan’s new wealth! You’ll need your best knights to fend them off! C&K contains a short campaign and 7 challenging maps.
Exciting adventures await you in the two new scenarios "Enchanted Land" and "The Great Canal". Vanquish dragons and bag their treasures or build a canal to help barren grain fields bloom once more.

Question: An expansion seems gone after an update or reinstallation of Catan or after restoring the device?
Answer: Don’t worry! Your initial purchase is already saved in your iTunes account. You can restore your InApp purchases by selecting the restore-option in the Catan IAP menu.
Question: I lost my campaign progress after reinstalling, updating or restoring my device. Is there any way to restore it?
Answer: When saved games can’t be automatically restored, we’ve integrated a cheat code: In the campaign mode go to select player and enter „CatanWarp*“ (* = 1–15) as your player name and confirm. Exit the game via the home button and restart it. The campaign can now be continued from the specified level number (1–15). Levels up to the specified number will be unlocked in the custom game mode as well.
Question: Are dice rolls really random?
Answer: Of course! All dice rolls are 100% random and not modified in any way. We’re avid Catan players ourselves. We’ve played the iOS version hundreds of times while developing the program. There have been times when we won and lost a few games in a row because of the dice - just like when playing the board game!

really bias. horrible game. you will not enjoy. dice is rigged in favor of opponents.
Glitches
Great game too many glitches and it’s not always the connection of the other players
Fix glitches
A like the game a lot but it suddenly pauses and the menu button is not available. The game pauses mostly after confirming where the robber would be placed.
Buggy on iOS 9 and my iPhone 6s Plus.
Very buggy. Even just starting a game is a chore as buttons are unresponsive from the menu to the game itself. Hopefully these bugs gets addressed in a future patch.
AI is obviously cheating
AI is ganging up on user 100% of the time. They trade amongst themselves to win, they will not trade with you. If you are sure to have a good next round, all or most AI will `roll` robber or play Knight on you and will sure make you pay. This game is not worth it as it will just frustrate the hell out of you. Been playing REAL Catan with REAL people and I know what is FAIR. I WANT MY MONEY BACK FOR THIS CHEAT GAME. This app should've been free with this kind of quality and cheat mechanism, at least I won't feel bad that I was ripped off my money. CHEAT! CHEAT! CHEAT!
AI BIAS
Game mechanics are the same as the board game. The problem with this App version is that the AI seems to have a bias on dice rolls and trading.
Even better than the desktop version
It's every bit as addictive as the original Settlers of Catan board game. The immediate complaints I have is the lack of a native iPad version, and no Cities and Knights expansion in sight. With regards to the gameplay, the only bug / annoyance I've run into is when an A.I. player makes an offer to trade resources with you and you accept the conditions of the trade, if there is a second A.I. player who wants to engage in that specific exchange as well (there's no way for you to know this), priority goes to the second AI player regardless of the turn order, the moment you click on the check button to accept the trade. For those who purchased the desktop version (Windows or Mac), this version is a whole lot cheaper, has better / clearer commodity icons, supports a much more intuitive touch interface, and is simply faster and easier to play. For very experienced players, three other A.I. players, even when set as the hardest personalities, shouldn't be much of a challenge. Regardless, the game sure is fun and offers near limitless replay value.
