Is Certify Mobile legit?
⚠️ The Certify Mobile app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
This app regularly crashes, we use it as part of our corporate credit card. 80% of the time the screen turns white and there is no back and forth. It’s inflicted a lot of pain as receipts are lost, not uploaded, etc. it could be a handy tool but it’s not reliable and hence I started collecting receipts again manually. This has been going on for 2+ years and with every update I was hoping they fix these issues. But no new features, or fixes. I can not recommend this provider.
Have to use or I wouldn’t
App keeps freezing constantly. Very painful to work with
Unreliable in low mobile coverage areas
Experienced all sort of errors:
1. take receipt picture then not showing anything, just go back to main page
2. Take picture and showing receipt but can’t recognise anything on it, not showing price field at all, so can’t oven manually input
3. Tap on receipts-spinning thingy for ever.
4. Synch receipts but loose most of them both from server and phone.
Have been lodging support tickets for over 2 years, nothing changed. Still full of bugs.
All support can advice reading script: close app and reopen, reboot your phone, reset comms setting on your phone, reset whole phone!!! You kidding me? To fix your bugs I have to start setting my phone from scratch??

Needs some added features
It's annoying to continually scroll ad select foreign currencies. Once you choose a currency's, that currency should stay selected by default for the next receipt / expense. I travel predominantly overseas and this drives me nuts. Also, it would similarly save me time if the category of expense again stayed set to last submitted receipt. This way an intelligent user could save time by batching all of their expenses of that same category. with these features the app would be much more usable. Also the app sends corrupt images to Certify about 1/80 I noticed quite regularly. Your service should ensure that the image is received in whole by doing a checksum or something. I've lost money because I wasn't reimbursed since the receipt was lost. Finally, for foreign transactions - certify is not taking Into account the FX transaction fees credit card companies charge in addition to the bank rates (usually 1-2% extra). Thi mean if I buy a flight with foreign currency the employee loses like $100 of their pocket money. certify should let the company admins add a loading of 1-2% since no one ever gets the bank rate for FX.
HTML is unacceptable for an App
I’ve used Concur, Skovik, and now Certify. I have to say Certify is by far the worst I’ve used and I’ve used something called Skovik. The setup, the layout, and the fact that it’s a webpage acting as an app just doesn’t work.
Certify is a huge company owned by a bigger company… I’m sure they can spare some cash and build a real app.
Picking the customer from a drop down list is aweful
Please. Please. Please change it back. Picking the customer from a drop down is abysmal. At the very least allow users to type the name and have it look up in the list as they type. I now have to scroll through 500+ customer names to find the one I’m looking for.
Notifications
Why is there no option to receive notifications from the app? When managers have a report to approve, they are only notified via email. Would be much better for a notification to pop-up right on your phone.
