The app states that it can be used without a dedicated card. I.e. it should be possible to change and pay directly in the app. However, no matter how many times we tried, and with several different charging stations, we were always met with a “transaction can’t be started”. We tried creating new accounts on different phones but with the same results. TLDR: The app is broken and needs a lot of patching. Useless at the moment.
