Charles Proxy for iOS lets you capture and inspect network requests and responses on your iOS device. You can view metadata, headers and bodies in the app, so you can finally debug your app’s networking issues without a computer.

Charles Proxy for iOS is a new app from the creators of Charles Proxy for desktop.

HOW IT WORKS
Turn Charles on when you want to start capturing. Charles captures your network requests and responses in the background while you test your app or website. Return to Charles to inspect the requests and responses.

If you also have Charles on your desktop, you can transfer recorded sessions to your desktop to explore them on the big screen.

Charles creates a local VPN on your device. All of your network traffic passes through Charles on your device, and then out to the internet as usual over either WiFi or Mobile / Cellular data. There is no remote server involved, and your data always remains private to you.

Not working when using with VPN

Please add support so that it can work when using with VPN access

Can’t see focus and breakpoints

I purchased your app product and seeing there is no way to focus your main calls and I can’t alter request and response header/body parameters .. I do love your desktop version.

No wss support

Unable to decrypt wss traffic happening inside the app.

Search in response body

Great tool for troubleshooting on the device itself. Highly recommended. Charles proxy team - would be a huge help if you can add search in response body feature.

Filter requests by app

Hi Charles team, can you please add functionality to include requests made by particular app. Currently only domain based filtering is possible. Even if header filter on User-Agent is provided then it would be great. Also can I check the current session being recorded on Mac app in realtime rather than manually exporting and checking it.

App froze

I love Charles on desktop and have recommended to many developer. Bought the app after seeing it on HN It was capturing data on some sites, other apps possibly had SSL pinning , so let it run for an hour It froze, now does not start normally even after doing force kill What I see now is the frozen screen , current session 275 hosts, 1738 requests, 31mb I expect the developer to issue a fix and I am willing to change my review after that
