Charles Proxy for iOS lets you capture and inspect network requests and responses on your iOS device. You can view metadata, headers and bodies in the app, so you can finally debug your app’s networking issues without a computer.

HOW IT WORKS
Turn Charles on when you want to start capturing. Charles captures your network requests and responses in the background while you test your app or website. Return to Charles to inspect the requests and responses.
If you also have Charles on your desktop, you can transfer recorded sessions to your desktop to explore them on the big screen.
Charles creates a local VPN on your device. All of your network traffic passes through Charles on your device, and then out to the internet as usual over either WiFi or Mobile / Cellular data. There is no remote server involved, and your data always remains private to you.

Let me import a saved Charles session!
It’s very handy but I receive chls files from other people and need to look into issues or analyse api interactions and I can’t currently load a chls files into the Charles app. That’s quite a restrictive thing. Please add support for opening chls files with Charles. Especially now we’ve got amazing iPads which are replacing computers!!!
SSL functionally is broken
Many years I’ve been using desktop version of the app. But iOS version is broken right now. Followed all the steps on installing SSL certificate and trusting it in settings. Tried many times. No success. The main feature for which I need the app is not working. Let’s see if it gets fixed.
Needs an update
Keeps crashing on the latest OSs, really needs some bug fixing
No websocket support
I bought this to specifically sniff a wss:// websocket, however not only does it not show any websocket traffic, it actually blocks it! With the proxy enabled, no websocket data is received. Please add support for this.
Apps logger
I can finally see where each app is connecting too and which data they are sending to the servers even if SSL encrypted. Brilliant
Much easier than on desktop
I played with the app for over an hour and it’s absolutely perfect. Overall it’s lot easier to use than using Charles on the desktop. Once you figure out how to get the certificates installed adding new configurations for the SSL proxying is a breeze. The app is really worth it, I wish I had known of it sooner.
Can’t even use the app
Whenever I attempt to start the vpn/proxy it instantly switches to inactive, I’ve reinstalled the app multiple times removed and reinstalled the vpn config and still no luck.

Great app if you are a developer, or hacker. Btw, can you add how much time the request takes? Thanks.
Useful but lacking a couple of features
I use the desktop browser version of Charles to debug desktop and apps tagged with Adobe Analytics and Tealium iQ. The app (and desktop) need the ability to prettify a POST. As an alternative, on the desktop I can “rewrite” the request so it remains a GET and it’s easy to read. Which is great. I’d like this ability on the app please.
