This is exactly what I was looking for. I needed an easy reference for creating guitar parts from piano music at church. I can build the chords with the keyboard, see the notes match the sheet music, then look for the guitar chord voicing that fits. A beautiful app that looks nice and does exactly what it’s meant to do. And for 1.99, you can have the guitar and the keyboard on the screen at the same time, well worth it.
Please fix the bug where it just goes out of the app. Idk if this is just on apple products or what, but it does it on both iPad and iPhone. And it blocks out letters with a black rectangle.
I have used this app for a long time now. I have always loved it. However, it now crashes all the time. Usually I have to power down & reboot my IPad to just get out of the app.
I’ve played bluegrass, plectrum and tenor banjo-each with its own unique tuning. The tenor banjo section of this app is priceless! I have a vintage tenor banjo that now gives me twice as much joy to play as a result of using this app. As a jazz guitarist, I can’t wait to play around with all the chord inversions (I also have the Roy Smeck 4,400 guitar chord book somewhere???). Who knows? I might become the next Joe Pass!
This app is such an immense help in so many ways. If you are looking for a quick way to identify, locate, or hear any chord on your instrument I can’t recommend this enough. Even the free version is way better than the alternatives (paid ones included) but I can sincerely say that the full version of this is the best $1.99 I have ever spent - it is worth 10x that. Both writing and learning is so much easier with this app. The developer was also very kind and responsive when I ran into a minor problem. 5 stars all around.
Just got the app. Seems useful. I’m a brass player who has only used treble clef so it was disappointing to see that the default chords are written in bass clef. Can this be changed?
Please Update this app, for the upgrade made on the app, there are some features that do not work, such as the chord library dictionary for the piano where it has 1-7 sounds, also for each of the library dictionaries, there is no play or sound button. This app would be a million times better with those fixes. Thanks
this app is great !it would be great if we could drag a chord into a memory slot to able to organize a song progression checking both guitar and piano ✌️
Back in the early Seventies, I made something like this in card index/IBM format out of cardboard. It was obviously very limited, and I dreamed of one day having some sort of computer program that might enable chord construction/deconstruction in this way. This is it!
