I submitted a ticket, asking if display LUTs could be used when shooting an Apple LOG. Within five minutes, I received a detailed reply, explaining that this was a feature in the works, but for now, there is a simple workaround. It works! The app is well thought out, easy to use, and I particularly like the multipoint focus pull feature that competing video apps don’t have.
Tested every other “cinema” camera app and none of them come close to this, yes it does cost $7 for it but it’s a LIFETIME buy, not monthly like all these other ones while offering the same amount of features and even more, this app truly helped a ton before I had the money to get a actual cinema camera. 11/10 would recommend to any serious cinematographers!!!!
Probably the best I’ve tried and I’ve tried almost all of them. Gorgeous image quality. Dense, configurable display and options. Has features I didn’t even know I wanted or needed like real-time distortion correction, facial focus tracking, and rack focus presets with adjustable focus pull speed. Only a few things I can think of that would be nice to have: -Second device remote capability like Filmic or Catch @ Camera -Apple Watch app for remote control -Custom LUT import -Torch intensity adjustment -More robust options for motion blur when simulating slow shutter long exposures
Been looking for an app to replace my native camera app, and was thinking I don't want to be paying a monthly fee for that. And here this amazing app came
Why no Widget? Just got this app and it’s impressive but
I’ve purchased more camera apps than weather apps. Searching for something meaningfully different is difficult because it isn’t known quickly if an app is useful or even wanted until after it’s downloaded and used for a while. This camera app is feature loaded but nice to use. Thank you for your work.
Nice app but when will we get gimbal support
They just produce dark and even more flattened images! AND YOUR HELP PAGE DOES NOT HELP! I followed you recommended node setup and the videos are terrible!!! If I’m applying a LUT to get to what the camera saw, then the LUT should do exactly that with no further grading! Also what about working in a color-managed workflow? How do I apply the LUT in that scenario? I used to tout how good this app was but I simply can’t do that anymore!
Update: This app is in desperate need of an update. 1. Apple Log needs to be added to formats. 2. The UI needs an overhaul into a more elegant design This app is worth the price if you’re solely concerned about the tons of features packed this well capable app. If you’re a big fan of logical and physical design, this app fails in that regard. There’s nothing wrong with looking at the design of other more popular apps like filmicpro and taking what works and discarding what doesn’t. I have yet to figure out how to get a Timelapse video on this app. That speaks to its less than intuitive design. The photo side of this app should be removed altogether. Streamline your efforts into what you folks are doing best: video capturing. I’ve already paid for this app and I do not regret it but please REDESIGN this app from the ground up. Regards
