Reliable weather forecasts for astronomers with an emphasis on cloud cover.
Features include:
• Seven day hourly forecasts, updated hourly.
• Low, medium, high and total cloud cover.
• Moon rise/set times and phase.
• Sun rise/set and transit.
• Civil/nautical/astronomical darkness.
• ISS pass-over information.
• Automatically provides a forecast for your current location.
• Save favourite locations for easy access.
• Daytime forecasts for solar observers/imagers.
Updated hourly. Frequent hourly updates are important because often the clear spell between showers provides excellent seeing and 30-minutes under a clear sky with a grab-&-go telescopes is pure gold!
Did you notice the ISS pass-over information? The times are precisely calculated for your location and displayed alongside the cloud forecasts so it has never been easier to observe. It is our favourite feature :-)
Also includes regular weather data (wind, rain, frost, temperature, dew point, etc) so perfect for those wanting a detailed weather forecast, without cutesy graphics.

This is a very nice and simple app. But you can not add a location west of the meridian or south of the equator as you can not add negative lat/long coordinates. This should be a simple fix, but I notice someone else has commented on this 2 years ago and there’s been no update.
Only Celsius and no negative lat/long
Overall I like the AI and the info it presents, but really should add an option for temps in F or C (only C currently). Also I want to add some remote sites I go to, but you can’t use negative numbers for Lat/long so those of us in the West or Southern hemispheres can’t put in coordinates.
Temp change?
y no settings where we can change temp C to F?
Okay
Accurate most of the times but unfortunately when you try to save the location it won’t let you put in negative sign for longitude. Therefore the location feature is really useless for me. Other than that it’s okay.
Frustrating - lat/long won’t take negative
This app hasn’t been helpful since I’ve installed it. It asks for latitude & longitude yet doesn’t accept negative integers - I.e. -83.47
I’m looking for a rating for OHIO & it displays rating for China.
Apparently this is not a new issue. Fix your app.
Need to change setting to F not C temperature

Useful!
Thank you for the app.
The Best Weather App for Astronomers
This is just what I have been looking for, and most of all it is really free!
Great info!
Really nice summary of weather affecting night photography. I can’t find a settings function though; it’d be nice to see Fahrenheit data but I really don't ‘need’ it.
Is it supported? Not a chance.
I have never been able to enter a negative longitude number for locations in the west because they restrict the input keyboard to numbers and a decimal point. This means every US location that I can’t find in their small database can’t be added because it shows up in China. This would be an easy fix, but in 2 years they haven’t done it.
Update: years later, still no fix. Come on, FLO!
