When it never works. Literally never responds to a cue.

Unable to download a pdf of a script. Unable to choose gender and British accent for the characters. Voice record for lines doesn’t punctuate. Have to go through each line and fix manually. Still haven’t found a way to organize scenes by the Act.

As an actor and even after the pandemic getting someone to rehearse lines with is a challenge. This app solves that problem it listens for you yo go to the next line before moving on. and really works as a scene memorization partner.thr screensaver highlights the cue word. I have tried other memorization apps. I feel this one is the absolute best.

If you try to use the app without being connected to the Internet it will tell you you aren’t subscribed and won’t let you rehearse more than 8 lines. Extremely frustrating paying the subscription only to be told I don’t have one. This is a huge oversight; everything else has been great.

The app is exactly what is needed to self tape at home with the exception of the teleprompter. You must annunciate the last or “key” word for it to move forward. I find myself yelling the key word to get it to move. It takes me out of the scene and it’s maddening. So if the line needs to be sad quietly…. Good luck getting the app to respond. And its settings are not user friendly. And there is no option for microphone sensitivity to pick up on the key word. Frustrating!!! Waste of money.

I want to like this app and sometimes it’s really good, but most of the time it’s not. It regularly doesn’t pick up my cue word and if I take too long to say a line, because there’s a pause in the scene, it just moves on to the next line even if I’ve only said half of my line. I’ve tried adding in silences between lines to fix this, but they count towards your 8 lines. I’ve also tried adding in silence when I’m recording the line, but that never works either. In an industry where we already have to pay for everything, I don’t want to pay the insane subscription cost for this.

This app is adequate, but it has far too many issues for the asking price. As erratic as it is, it’s max worth is a $20 one time fee as opposed to the $90 plus annual fee. I wish someone would create a better version. If you can record your self tape any other way, DO IT! This app will have you pulling your hair out. The missing language model issue still persists. Very limited voice adjustments are available for the reader so it always sounds computer generated. The remote shutter only works intermittently. The camera picks up more of your background than is visible is the recording setting, so you have to crop the finished clip. Often times if you’re not connected to the Internet, it will only allow you to see the first 8 lines of your scene. Very frustrating.

Really find this app easy and useful. I think it’s immediately worth the money, if you need it as a reader to rehearse or tape with. Improvements I’d like to see: - auto backup/sync with iCloud and other devices - better support for macOS (can’t get it to recognize my speech) - easy way to have Siri be the reader (one of the good Siri voices) - easy way to send it to a friends device and have them be the reader over top of the lines I started with Even without these, I still am happy with the purchase.

I was so excited when I first discovered this app but feel like more and more features don’t work properly. The biggest one being that it doesn’t recognize me as a paid subscriber anytime I’m away from homes so I’m unable to rehearse more than the first 8 lines. For such an expensive subscribing I’m disappointed functionality isn’t better.

I read the words in. When I speak them into the app… it’s like who??? I have to repeat everything over and over like It wasn’t me who said it in the first place. Why!!!!!
