Great game for friends

Not very user friendly on iOS. Buttons are small and everything is cluttered. Needs a complete revamp, doesn’t work well like it does on a PC

Review update as of May 1, 2024. The game is still incredibly bad and inaccurate. 1 person will roll over 75% of robbers and 3 will roll more than half of the numbers. The fact that they call it ranked is baffling. I’m convinced half of these reviews are fake. Definitely not 3.8 out of 5. Download the OG Catan app! It’s MUCH better.

For some reason the sound stops working when you leave the app. It will turn back on at random. Kinda weird.

Love colonist.io. Found it on the web, and played many games. Unfortunately, the stability and UX of the app is far below the web version. The app frequently crashes, and causes you to lose your game progress. Also, there’s no way to see remaining number of settlements available as you can on the web version. With improved stability this could be a great app. For now, it’s nearly unplayable with spending 15-20 mins in a game to end up losing progress is frustrating.

This app is basically unplayable. From someone who loves catan I really tried to enjoy this. The app functions so poorly for such a simple game. Animations are slow, the online play is buggy and the UI looks awful. I played on their website a while ago and even that had a ton of issues. I tried talking about the problems on their discord and they kicked me out. Don’t expect this to get better anytime soon.

Adds at the end of the game are terrible 🥲

Great game. Better on the website playing ona computer. But the performance is horrendous. Turn off all animations to expect a smooth performance. Devs should really focus on optimizing the game and improving performance. Can be extremely slow, buggy, and a complete RAM and battery hog.
