Serious Ethical Concerns with Compensation and Transparency
As a college athlete, I turned to the COMPASS NIL app with hopes of fair support and representation. Unfortunately, my experience raises serious ethical concerns. The user interface, while a secondary issue, is frustratingly cumbersome. But more critically, the compensation is alarmingly below ethical standards. Receiving only $600 in a market where $2,000 is the norm not only feels unfair but also exploitative. This significant underpayment questions the app’s commitment to genuinely supporting athletes. Ethical practice in athlete representation demands transparency and fair compensation, both of which are severely lacking here. For COMPASS NIL to gain trust and credibility within the athlete community, a major overhaul in its approach to athlete compensation and transparent communication is essential.
