No alert for tampering, or that cameras aren’t working
Of course, you don’t know what you don’t know until you need to know. We had an instance recently where we believe someone may have been inside our house. When I went to pull video, to my surprise, the door had been tampered with. (No push alert?!) and additionally, no cameras were working. No alert. Nothing.
If you’d like to continue throwing $ down the drain…

100% agreed with all other reviews. Hence this is the first app review I write. I’m the one to blame however that month after month I continue paying for this system; the app never works although I pay the extra fee for this function specifically. I attempt to activate the alarm from the app while sitting 2 feet away from the panel and the Wi-Fi router and it still doesn’t function due to “network connection error.” The worst is when you attempt it multiple times, it then activates 30 minutes later when you think it didn’t go through, which can trigger the alarm. Completely unreliable. After almost 2 years with the system, we’ve actually had it armed less then 10 times because I never know if it will function or trigger false alarms when I don’t know it’s on.
Why is this company even in existance?
App never works
Eight out of 10 times the app never works to arm or disarm the alarm. always says connection error constantly even if I delete the app, reinstall the app, disconnect the Wi-Fi, etc..
If I could leave 0 I would
App is terrible, cameras won’t even connect anymore. I contacted support, they sent me new equipment which isn’t even supported in this app. They have a new app, cove connect, but want you to upgrade your system with all new equipment in order to use it. I’ve only had mine for a little over a year, it’s ridiculous that I might have to switch to a whole new company and buy even MORE equipment just to get the features I was supposed to get with cove. I will not be paying to upgrade every piece of equipment I own to stick with cove and get the use of the connect app. Super disappointed in this company.
Waste of money
The worst alarm system I have ever had. Unreliable and faulty. The app doesn’t allow me to arm or disarm, it says I’m not allowed access. I changed the settings to allow myself access to my home in the settings and nothing changes. I also set up recurring arm stay, and it just decided to stop arming when it worked fine for a few weeks! The app and the system are both not user friendly, and significantly behind on technology. I am very disappointed I spent this money on an alarm system with cove.
Terrible App
I realized I was initially paying for this app and the Kami app but had always used Kami to view my camera action. Decided to drop Kami and stick with one app, cove, which was less inexpensive anyway. Well, you get what you pay for. The time it takes my apps to refresh when I get an alert is ridiculous. If there was danger, the act would be committed and the perpetrator out of sight. Same settings with Kami but this ones drains the battery so fast. This is going to be the third time I have to charge this year. I only had to charge one time in a year with Kami. Also, the company started using different cameras and software and has no plan to switch me over without me having to purchase a new set of cameras. You just cannot do as many things with this app and doesn’t work as well as it should or could.

Lacking so much
The app is very poor, it does nothing.
And customer support is lacking so much.

No video
No one can explain why the cameras on my system haven’t worked for weeks, so I finally decided to call it a loss and just cancel my membership. I told him the cameras weren’t working and the representative said “yeah that’s been an issue lately.“ He didn’t offer any solutions. And then instead of canceling my monthly subscription immediately, he said I had to pay for an additional month. I’m extremely disappointed. I spent a lot of money to get this system, and it has been extremely frustrating and now it is useless.
Glitches
I love my cove system. But the app needs fixes. Please don’t forget about your Cove Simple users who have to use this app and not the one for the new Cove Hub system. I am having camera issues and cannot delete a camera to reinstall it (my phone does not generate a QR code). Also, I purchased a second camera but it is with your partner eufy and I cannot view this camera on my Cove App. And I pay extra for 7 days of cloud data and it does not roll over the the eufy app. This is frustrating. I wanted the cove system for the integrated cameras so I could view them all at once and now that’s not possible. I’m hoping that integration is coming soon. But please fix this app’s glitches, thank you.
