I was very happy to find this full game with no in app purchases and also the ability to mod the whole game. It’s so easy too!! The game itself runs perfectly, there is a full campaign mode and also create your own levels. I have played this for at 2hours everyday since I bought it a few weeks ago. As the cliche goes ‘easy to pick up and hard to put down” This is the easiest 5 stars I have given from any game from the AppStore. I hope this review although short, helps you
Why does the game quit near the end of a game sent this review a number of times about the game quitting near the end and so wasting all of that time

I’m loving this game the best yet
Grew up playing Silent Service. Played some of the U boat sub sims from the 2005 kind of time. I’m really enjoying this game. I do tend to run into convoys like billy o. I run out of torpedos after just a couple of days. Submerged and full speed ahead you can fly straight past destroyers. But that’s the fun. I can alter the settings if I want to. It’s a great game plays wonderfully on my iPad Pro. I always remember in silent hunter you could see the water sloshing around on the sub screen. That would be cool as would a conning tower / control room view with red light for night attacks. All in all an amazing game. Love it.
I loved the original and played it a lot, but it was very limited. This feels like the same game with every feature you could imagine added to it. You can jump in and play it almost like an arcade game, or get really into it and plan your tactics carefully.
Really enjoyable game with enough variety to keep it engaging for a long time
If you remember “that” top game from the 90’s you’ll know and love this. It’s really similar so is easy to use, the tutorials are simple to follow and the game controls are equally easy to use. Different game levels from easy upwards to help you get to know the game and hone your skills. The only thing that would moan about, if i wanted to moan was you can (at this time) only play as an American in a Gato class sub….as it says in the description and I’d love to be out in the Atlantic also. Have to finish by saying this is the best sub game i’ve found since the 90’s and i love it
I don’t give 5 stars lightly. I recall, the old days of Microprose ‘Silent Service’ on a Tandy PC. 1989, blocky graphics, few colours, quite basic gameplay but with the benefit of a great imagination I could get totally absorbed in hunting, evading and sinking as much WW2 Japanese shipping as I could. This great game incredibly reminds me of that old game and satisfyingly updates all of the little shortcomings that ‘ancient’ technological barriers imposed on developers (and players) of the time. Add to this the joy of experiencing a game that does not involve the annoying micro transactions of In App purchases that so many other developers impose on customers. Great game. Well worth the price.
Excellent game … well thought through and with plenty of variation. I am looking forward to the version dealing with u-boats in the North Sea and around Britain!!!
