The application is good. However it is missing candlestick chart. I hope the next update will fix it.
It’s working
After at least a year of losing and creating new strategies and “back testing” on a daily basis, I have finally achieved a winning consistent strategy. I’m not wealthy and take my losses seriously. You need to test out using small sums before making any serious investments. The App works great but nothing worth anything comes without trials and consistent effort. I decided to write this review after reading a negative one - which made me a bit upset. You shouldn’t blame the app for losses. At first I did to, but the more I’ve used it, the more I can see that it does work as it’s supposed to. Of course I’m a lot happier now that I have developed a winning consistent strategy. The one big question I had is that you need to know that the backtesting always uses the default of 0.5 % lower for buys and 0.5 % higher for sells. It would be nice if the backtesting interface gave you the option to adjust these two parameters or that the documentation stated clearly that this is the case. Hopefully this tip helps someone else.
Worse than beta version
This is hands down one of the top 10 worst apps I’ve ever installed on my phone. It functions like an app that’s about 20% complete in functionality. It’s full of bugs and taking pretty much any action on the app leave me worried that something will go wrong and cause me to lose a bunch of money. I can’t submit orders. Open orders won’t sync correctly. Turning off notifications doesn’t work. There are so many things or right about this. It looks like nobody bothered to do any testing and the app was rushed out the door. Don’t get me wrong. Cryptohopper itself is a great product. The desktop version works great. The iPhone version functions like someone pet project learning how to code. It’s really concerning that a company responsible for potentially millions of Dollars in trade can put out something like this and call it theirs. Cryptohopper seems like a great idea…
It appears that you will genuinely have to spend money to make money on Cryptohopper. There are strategies that you can create (if you have the knowledge of how to create strategies in the coding language they use, which could be advantageous) and strategies you can buy and incorporate. If you buy a strategy to use, make sure you pay for a higher tier in order to use it. I paid for a strategy during the free trial only to learn that I couldn’t use it in the free trial, which is pretty silly. Overall, I didn’t find Cryptohopper to be a good app on the iPhone and couldn’t make anything work with Binance (due to not paying a subscription fee). Also, some screens done work/populate and I’m on the latest software version. Unless you’re will to spend as much as it takes to make a modest return, move on to any one of the other bot traders available. I hope things get better as I still have $18 and a strategy to use in CH and their plans start at over $19, which indicates to me a lack of planning.
