It works quite good. But on any other OS you can specify where the masterkey is stored, on this app that is not possible. If you don’t store the masterkey within the same folder as the vault file, you can’t add the vault or access the files.

Habe alle Daten nach Telefonwechsel verloren! Cloud mit iOS 17 führte wohl zum Verlust. Unbrauchbar; zum Glück waren das keine enorm wichtigen Daten, die sich jetz in Luft aufgelöst haben. Kundendienst meldet sich nicht mal - hatte per Mail angefragt.
No bugs, no issues - great experience to have data in the cloud (and on local HD) encrypted.
On my iPad with iPadOS 16.3, I could not add a vault from iCloud Drive. In general, I experienced many problems with the Files app integration.
Im Prinzip wäre Cryptomator eine feine Sache, wenn… wenn es zuverlässig funktionieren würde. Aber genau das tut die App nicht. Beim erstmaligen Einrichten läuft alles glatt, aber nach einigen Tagen ist plötzlich alles weg und lässt sich nicht mehr anzeigen. Die Daten sind noch da, aber auf dem iPad verspürt Cryptomator keine Lust mehr, mitzuspielen. Schade, erst Beta-Stadium!
Konstante Weiterentwicklung, OpenSource, kostenlose/spendennasiert. Ich bin seit Jahren User und überzeugt von der App. Danke an die Entwickler!
After using CM2 since launch day I finally switched back to the original app as it is more logical to use for me. I love CM! In my opinion the integration of CM2 into the Files app is too complicated for daily use: you have to open the vault first in CM2 in order to access it afterwards in Files. Autolock is not working, which is a no-go for me. Promising, but still work in progress.
