This camera has been tried on so many WiFis - family WiFi’s, our own WiFi and it just simply doesn’t work - I’ll be completely honest, the amount of times I have been on the chat with the support team - done everything that was asked and then unable to finish the process because I have a life. It creates more work as a pose to making my life easier. I’ve given up - don’t spend the money. It still just sits on my toddlers shelf unusable because it connects to the WiFi then drops, then connects for 3 minutes then drops. It does this with every WiFi I’ve tried - it’s painful.

We have excellent wifi and the Cubo AI camera fails to stay connected to it (no other devices of ours have this issue). There’s a firmware update that’s required within the app, which unlocks many of features that were the reasons as to why we paid £££ for this camera. But because of the terrible wifi connectivity, the firmware update fails every time. I didn’t just receive a faulty product, I’ve had a replacement camera sent to me by Cubo and it still won’t work. Look at other review platforms and see for yourself how many others are experiencing the same issue. If you do buy it, make sure you do so on credit card so you can request a charge back. Or at least make sure you test it out within the 45 day satisfaction period so you can get a refund when you realise it doesn’t work. The customer support chat have me going round in circles trying all sorts of “troubleshooting” and won’t refund me because I made the mistake of purchasing it in my first trimester and I only set it up in my third. I feel like I can’t even sell it on because it doesn’t work as advertised.

Terrible!!! Sounds amazing but in reality it’s a waste of money and completely useless. Ended up replacing with a monitor half the price that has a better picture, easier to use and no month subscription… don’t waste your money

What a clever thing! Nicely designed monitor with a floor standing unit that allows the whole family to monitor the video even shared with the grandparents!

Similar to other users, having constant issues with connecting camera to the WiFi, especially after the recent update. Previously every time the customer service blamed it on internet settings but everything else works well in our house so it seems a common theme. I wish this was resolved soon as the actual camera is pretty good.

The camera quality is amazing but it’s an awful baby monitor. Has loads of functions you don’t need and will never use, but the core functions are missing or super buggy. Safety issues as others have raised in that it doesn’t tell you when connection drops (which it does all the time), live feed freezes, drains battery from your phone. We hate it and wish we hadn’t wasted money on this style over substance monitor.

We love the camera and think the quality and analytical settings it provides are great, however have had so many issues with the app. It frequently loses connection to Wi-Fi, customer support blame our Wi-Fi however have never had any other issues with our high-speed broadband. Also the feature of having to connect the Wi-Fi via QR code on the device is awful and never works well despite using every suggestion given. A terrible app the really lets down a great camera. It has lost connection so many times in the middle of the night we have ended up buying a Bluetooth camera as back-up.

We don’t use any of the additional features, but as a stand alone camera to monitor our two daughters in their beds we can’t fault these cameras. The notifications can be amended in their sensitivity which is helpful, and connectivity issues are minimal and mostly linked to the internet and not the camera. These cameras have given us a huge amount more relaxation and confidence to allow our babies to self settle and have uninterrupted rest.

Context: partner and I share the same account, and travel frequently with the monitor. It’s our only baby monitor. Pros: - works well enough to be our only baby monitor - lovely and useful to be able to view recordings especially now the kid is sitting and standing - great to be able to view over the internet- I can take a turn monitoring no matter how far away I am from home Cons: - safety issues: the app does not raise a notification if WiFi connection to the camera drops. This is a known issue for nearly a year, I raised it, and it has not been addressed. - very poor WiFi setup process => travelling and connecting to new WiFi is possible but painful. - there are no attachments for the camera which make use with a travel cot easy; the floor stand is too bulky, we rigged up our own clip on solution - the software is, in general, pretty buggy: at one point our camera simply wouldn’t connect to WiFi any more. It took support 2 days to fix and the issue was on server-side. We nearly had to buy a new baby monitor as we without for a night (just slept in same room that once). - audio is poor: there is a high level of white noise on the audio stream, making it annoying to have on in the background (of course, this is with respect to the app being used in default setting ie no noise being emitted by the device!). This again is known as I’ve submitted the issue, but no fix is possible.
