Disappointed
I really enjoy reading this devotional in the morning along with the prayer and then the evening prayer at night. I recently came upon two readings and found it to be very offensive by the use of the word “coloured woman” “coloured man”; slavery has been done away with although black and brown people are still fighting for their place in society. Please use the proper term “ black people” or African American”.
Worth it!

Devotionals that challenge and nourish
Great format and app. They have taken a classic devotional and put it into a format that is practical and convenient.
It’s 2021
Remove the references to “coloured people”.
Absolutely blessing!
I especially enjoy the prayers in the app each day, morning’s and evening’s. There are so much to learn and so much to enjoy when we talk to God, especially when we do not pray in our own mother tongue. I enjoy reading those prayers over and over. It is the best moment in a day, in our life. My children now all enjoy reading (praying) those words. Lord, thank you for this gift! Make us all a man of prayer.

I love my devotional with Streams in the desert. I have been doing it now for almost ten years and I find it so encouraging and inspiring. There’s always a word for the difficult moments of life. Also, at times, it opens up scripture verses in a whole new light I would recommend for anyone as part their daily devotion.
