Needs a subscription for every chat in order to carry on. So Annoying & pushy.
Don’t waste your time like the other review said, all it does is make you pay for everything you do or send to each person on the app and website. Definitely a waste of money and time. Definitely has a system that might have coworkers that are on the app making you spend money and totally disregarding every message that take you out of the app. It also will not show the other person if you give them your contact information. They probably have a system where it’s supposed to be seen as a security for everyone on the app but is bull. Also if they don’t have coworkers on the app they are definitely having good looking people paid to be on the app and avoid being sent out of app or website. Terrible and very bad app/website don’t be fooled, there are better apps and websites out there.
Dating.com has been a big disappointment. It’s not just the money—it’s about how the app feels designed to waste your time and play with your emotions. They charge for every message, which adds up quickly, but the worst part is dealing with profiles that seem fake or scripted. It’s suspicious that so many people on the app claim intense feelings but avoid switching to a free messaging app. It felt like the app was using fake profiles to keep users paying. This app isn’t just overpriced; it plays with your feelings and gives little assurance that the people you’re talking to are real. Don’t waste your time and money here. This app is overpriced, with poor transparency, and doesn’t give confidence that you’re meeting real people.
I gave this a shot for two years ever since the first add came out. Every single “popular Member” I’ve contacted refused to meet me in person or contact me outside of the app - even if the person lived in my city. Over 20 popular members I’ve interacted with over the past 2 years and all refused to even get on the phone, contact me on my social media, or meet for coffee. They tie up my inbox with a literal FLOOD of multiple messages, chat requests and e-mails and constantly trying to video chat with me - all of which incurs hefty fees/ “tokens” if I respond. I could not even sign in for one minute without a popular member trying to video chat with me. These popular members, indicated by the yellow star on their profile, have beautiful pics - they are handsome men with many pics in their profile - a lot looks like professional photo shoots - each popular member a little too good to be true - and their messages are well thought out to get your emotional response. They always say they want to get to know you better before they meet you, but they keep contacting you numerous times per day, telling you they miss you, stirring up all kinds of feelings, complimenting you, and praising you up and down, but still refuse to contact you outside of the app. I got to a point where I no longer responded to “Popular Members” but I was still barraged with video chats - again - all from the “popular members.” It is never explained by dating.com how to “become” a popular member. It’s all mysterious and unsaid. The few members (NOT the popular members) that I was able to contact outside the app were ALL traumatized because they had interacted with “Popular Members” and had the same problem as me. Even though I was a real person ready, telling them I found their profile on the dating.com to meet them in person, they didn’t believe me because the Popular members had been messing with their head too, destroying their trust. Two years and I never met a single person - and yes, the popular members I interacted with had their “verified badge” as well - supposedly proving their identity. The entire dating app is a well-designed scam and it’s highly unethical to do this to people - to play with their heartstrings this way. I suspect they use professional models and/or escorts and pay them to play this role of chatting and interacting without ever meeting. That way, they make lots of money off of the chats, videos and emails. Whoever works for this company should really be ashamed
Stay away!! It’s a fraudulent app. You are boarded with messages from fake profiles. It’s also a safety breach that anyone can start video calling without your permission. As soon as you open the app. It’s like their scam artists are notified that you’re online and start bombarding you. Fake profiles with location of anytown, USA for example Austin, USA or Georgia, USA. Apple should be ashamed for letting this app pass quality inspection to the App Store.
I paid for this app and at first I thought I was talking to real people but only to have a flood of IA in my inbox. How did I know they’re IA? Well… the response time is crazy. They respond with very long emails in seconds. The messages don’t sound like actual people. You constantly have to buy credits for messages. To be clear I don’t mind the money what I’m concern about is how unauthentic all the emails sounded. Because of this I started searching online to only find others thinking the same. I do believe that they’re real people on the site however, if there are it would be very hard to find because they probably got frustrated like me. When you think you actually talking with a real people the message just start sounding weird. I read other reviews here and the developer claimed that “it is forbidden for employees to respond on behalf of others” Well it wouldn’t be forbidden when the profiles were already fake haha! By the way every 3-5 emails you are charged $25. Complete scam! Don’t use it. Opt for Bumble or POF where people are actually real. I really wish I could share screenshots for you all to see. I can’t even understand how Apple allow this app to be available in their platform but I guess it’s just business 🙄 I almost forgot to mention that I did contact support on how to filter my search and they responded fast. After I found how about the scam I tried to contact them several time to refund me my money because the system is a lie but I never received a response. It keep showing that a live agent will be with me in a few minutes but they never responded haha! 🙄
La verdad me parece una aplicación muy cara que. A cada momento pide dinero
The developer uses AI profiles to convince people to pay for the site. When I get messages like “can you see my message” after the free messages expire, they couldn’t make it more obvious. Plus with the days I’ve has the app, I don’t think I came across one legit profile
This version isn’t working properly on my device
