DaVinci Resolve for iPad is the world’s only solution that combines editing and color correction in one software tool! Its elegant, modern interface is fast to learn and easy for new users, yet powerful for professionals. DaVinci Resolve lets you work faster and at a higher quality because you don’t have to learn multiple apps or switch software for different tasks. That means you can work with camera original quality images throughout the entire process. It’s like having your own post production studio in a single app! Best of all, by learning DaVinci Resolve, you’re learning how to use the exact same tools used by Hollywood professionals in high end post production studios!
Turn work around fast using cut page editing!
The cut page is perfect for projects with tight deadlines that you have to turn around quickly. It’s also great for documentary work. The cut page has a streamlined interface that’s fast to learn and designed for speed. Features such as source tape for visual media browsing, fast review, and smart editing tools help you work faster than ever. The sync bin and source overwrite tools are the fastest way to edit multi-cam programs, with easy to create perfectly synchronized cut aways! With DaVinci Resolve you’ll spend more time editing and less time hunting for shots.
Hollywood’s favorite color corrector!
The DaVinci Resolve for iPad color page is Hollywood’s most advanced color corrector and has been used to color and finish more high end feature films and television shows than any other system! It’s also approachable with features designed to make it easier for new users to get great results while they continue to learn the advanced tools. For example, primary control sliders will be familiar to anyone who’s used image editing software, making it easy to adjust contrast, temperature, mid-tone detail, saturation and more. The color page has an incredible range of primary and secondary color grading features including PowerWindows™, qualifiers, 3D trackers, advanced HDR grading tools and more!
Blackmagic Cloud Collaboration
DaVinci Resolve for iPad supports the revolutionary Blackmagic Cloud, a whole new way of collaborating using cloud based workflows. Simply create a Blackmagic Cloud ID and set up a project library for your project. You can assign any number of collaborators to a project, using Blackmagic Cloud to share projects. Multiple people can work on the same timeline! When changes are made, you can see and accept them, changes are only applied when you accept updates. A single click can relink files, update timelines, or view changes. Built in timeline compare tools let you merge changes into a master timeline so others can continue with edits.
AI Tools for Creativity with Studio In-App-Purchase
DaVinci Resolve features cutting edge AI processing powered by the DaVinci Neural Engine. Tools such as magic mask need only a single stroke to locate and track people, features and objects in a shot. You can make characters stand out in an under lit shot, or invert the person mask and stylize the background. Smart reframe repurposes footage to dramatically different aspect ratios by recognizing the action in a scene and panning within it so you can quickly create square or vertical versions for posting to social media. Voice isolation lets you easily remove loud, undesirable sounds from interviews and dialogue recordings from noisy locations. AI tools create quick, accurate results saving you hours of time!
Compatibility
Recommended for use with Apple iPad Pro M1 or newer models with a minimum of 16GB of RAM. Earlier iPad models may be restricted to HD, and memory limitations may limit some features. DaVinci Resolve projects (drp) and project archives (dra) are fully compatible with DaVinci Resolve 19 on desktop. Supported file formats include H.264, H.265, Apple ProRes and Blackmagic RAW. Supports the Magic Keyboard, Apple Pencil as well as Studio and PRO XDR Displays.

DaVinci Resolve for iPad Reviews

False color

Tonny Kathy on

Netherlands

Waarom is false color niet accuraat en heb ik het gevoel dat het resultaat -1,5 stop ernaast zit.

Unusable on iPad Pro M1+

spcyyyy on

Netherlands

On a full fledged operating system this is unbeatable. But on a tablet form it’s totally tragic. The ONLY reason I am putting up with this for now, is because I am saving up to switch out my iPad Pro M1 for a MacBook Pro, because this is totally useless on it. To even just make simple selects, it’s shocking. It takes about 5-10x as long to do it because of how bad it is compared to the full fledged version. This can be used to maybe like watch over your videos and show a client on the go, but wow - to actually do ANY real work on this, good luck, and hope you enjoy rage quitting. This product, I repeat is amazing on full fledged operating systems, but as an app - it’s horrible. Do not expect to get any meaningful work done on this, with the app version. If you have figured it out, to make it actually usable and useful please make a YouTube video of it to show people. And not the ‘perfect scenarios’ but real world application ! Love your product on the desktop version, I repeat LOL but srsly the app version is subpar at best

Knoppen onderin

Mhm nogwat on

Netherlands

.AVI support

Cappedbyjacob on

Netherlands

Hi, I like using the program for ipad, though I have some issues. I have a digicam from 2006 with a broken screen, so I can only record in the preset settings. The output format is .avi. Davinci Resolve for iPad doesn’t seem to recognize these files. Is there any way to import these files into Davinci? Thanks in advance

Timeline zoom is not working

Juliette1951 on

Netherlands

I spend a lot of effort how to get the timeline zoom working on a iPad Pro 2021. After a lot of investigation I came to the conclusion it does not work. That makes editing a very annoying job. Too bad I had to spend so much time researching. I hope for a solution because otherwise the program doesn't seem wrong.

Nice to have but zooming timeline is lacking…

iSoftReview on

Netherlands

Being unable to zoom the timeline really is a drag. I also fail to understand why the playhead is somewhere in the middle of the timeline, why isn’t the timeline starting at the ultimate left like in the edit page of the desktop version? Also: this version (18.5.03) crashes often But hey, its free software so not complaining, only trying to be constructive.

Love it!

Anaa727 on

I have been using Davinci on pc for 2 years now. If you know the program this app will be easy to use. For me it works great in combination with Procreate.

Unintuitive

BetaNovember1 on

Netherlands

Coming from LumaFusion on iPad, this is one of the most unintuitive interfaces I’ve ever encountered. Interaction with the software on a touchscreen is subpar to say the least. Even on desktop, it has a learning curve, but this iPad software is very far from being user friendly. Apart from that, performance after one or two effects is dreadful on iPad (with M1 processor).

works fine

maaikiekeee on

Netherlands

works fine on iPad Pro 11 but i dont know how to use it yet it’s kinda confusing

Works well on the iPad m2

schaatsendehollander on

Netherlands

Runs well on my iPad. Better performance than on my intel Mac mini with egpu. It only does not use the full screen of my 5K2K screen connected via thunderbolt wit DaVinci on the external screen. Once that works I’ll give it 5 stars.
