On a full fledged operating system this is unbeatable. But on a tablet form it’s totally tragic. The ONLY reason I am putting up with this for now, is because I am saving up to switch out my iPad Pro M1 for a MacBook Pro, because this is totally useless on it. To even just make simple selects, it’s shocking. It takes about 5-10x as long to do it because of how bad it is compared to the full fledged version. This can be used to maybe like watch over your videos and show a client on the go, but wow - to actually do ANY real work on this, good luck, and hope you enjoy rage quitting. This product, I repeat is amazing on full fledged operating systems, but as an app - it’s horrible. Do not expect to get any meaningful work done on this, with the app version. If you have figured it out, to make it actually usable and useful please make a YouTube video of it to show people. And not the ‘perfect scenarios’ but real world application ! Love your product on the desktop version, I repeat LOL but srsly the app version is subpar at best
Hi, I like using the program for ipad, though I have some issues. I have a digicam from 2006 with a broken screen, so I can only record in the preset settings. The output format is .avi. Davinci Resolve for iPad doesn’t seem to recognize these files. Is there any way to import these files into Davinci? Thanks in advance
I spend a lot of effort how to get the timeline zoom working on a iPad Pro 2021. After a lot of investigation I came to the conclusion it does not work. That makes editing a very annoying job. Too bad I had to spend so much time researching. I hope for a solution because otherwise the program doesn't seem wrong.
Being unable to zoom the timeline really is a drag. I also fail to understand why the playhead is somewhere in the middle of the timeline, why isn’t the timeline starting at the ultimate left like in the edit page of the desktop version? Also: this version (18.5.03) crashes often But hey, its free software so not complaining, only trying to be constructive.
I have been using Davinci on pc for 2 years now. If you know the program this app will be easy to use. For me it works great in combination with Procreate.
Coming from LumaFusion on iPad, this is one of the most unintuitive interfaces I’ve ever encountered. Interaction with the software on a touchscreen is subpar to say the least. Even on desktop, it has a learning curve, but this iPad software is very far from being user friendly. Apart from that, performance after one or two effects is dreadful on iPad (with M1 processor).
works fine on iPad Pro 11 but i dont know how to use it yet it’s kinda confusing
Runs well on my iPad. Better performance than on my intel Mac mini with egpu. It only does not use the full screen of my 5K2K screen connected via thunderbolt wit DaVinci on the external screen. Once that works I’ll give it 5 stars.
