Originally released by LucasArts in 1993 as a sequel to Ron Gilbert’s ground breaking Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle is a mind-bending, time travel, cartoon puzzle adventure game in which three unlikely friends work together to prevent an evil mutated purple tentacle from taking over the world!
Now, over twenty years later, Day of the Tentacle is back in a remastered edition that features all new hand-drawn, high resolution artwork, with remastered audio, music and sound effects (which the original 90s marketing blurb described as ‘zany!’).
Players are able to switch back and forth between classic and remastered modes, and mix and match audio, graphics and user interface to their heart’s desire. We’ve also included a concept art browser, and recorded a commentary track with the game’s original creators Tim Schafer, Dave Grossman, Larry Ahern, Peter Chan, Peter McConnell and Clint Bajakian.
Day of the Tentacle was Tim Schafer’s first game as co-project lead, and a much beloved cult classic! This special edition has been lovingly restored and remade with the care and attention that can only come from involving the game's original creators.

Genau das, was ich erwartet habe: Das alte Spiel mit moderner Grafik fürs iPad. Alternativ auch mit der alten Grafik und dem ersten Teil als Bonus im Spiel versteckt. Spielspaß garantiert. Wann kommen die anderen Spiele? 😜

Kein Sound
Ich bekomme keinen Sound bei allen Spielen. Das gilt auch für die anderen Spiele aus dem Bundle. iPad Pro (11 Zoll, 4. Generation) 17.3.1

Day of the Tentacle Remastered… … hat nach fast 30 Jahren für mich nichts von seinem Zauber, Witz und Unterhaltungswert verloren. Mittlerweile haben es meine eigenen Kids durchgespielt und dank des Grafik- und Steuerungsupgrades gar nicht als Spiel der 90er empfunden. Auch die komplette Sprachausgabe ist Klasse. Die deutsche (alte) Syncho halte ich für gelungen, im Englischen macht's aber auch viel Spass. Besonders toll finde ich den zuschaltbaren (englischen) Audiokommentar der Entwickler, der Einblicke in die Entstehungsgeschichte des Original und des Remakes gibt. Die versteckten 58 Belohnungen im Gamecenter haben meinen Spielergeiz auch noch mehr angeheizt. Alles in Allem eine tolle Umsetzung des Klassikers! Ich wünschte mir mehr davon, besonders was Lucasgames angeht. Indy 3 und 4 wären doch mal n schönes Projekt zum neuen Kinofilmstart. Und wenn Apple die SpecialEditions von Monkey Insland 1 und 2 mal wieder lauffähig machen würde(für die ich vor Jahren viel Geld im AppStore ließ), wäre das auch Klasse. Bitte bitte mehr davon!
Einfach nur göttlich!
Dieses Spiel weckt Kindheitserinnerungen! Danke dafür. Und das zu so einen Schnapper. Für alle, die nur wieder am rumjammern sind: doch, das Spiel hat einen Ton. Bloß komischerweise nur über Bluetooth, nicht über das abzuspielende Gerät selber. Einfach mal ein bisschen rumprobieren, als gleich nur wieder zu meckern und zu jammern. Und logischerweise geht der Ton, wenn er über Kopfhörer funktioniert, auch über jedes andere Bluetooth Ton-Gerät, zB über einen stinknormalen Bluetooth Lautsprecher. Um diese Erkenntnis zu erlangen, braucht man nicht mal großartig Technik-Verständnis.. naja. Das Spiel jedenfalls ist einfach nur supertoll!
