DDHeroes enthält drei Strategiespielmodi für die iOS-Plattform:
- Kingdoms-Modus: Du regierst die Welt, indem du alle anderen Helden besiegst und alle ihre Burgen eroberst. Inspiriert von Jon Van Caneghems Heroes of Might and Magic II.
- Dungeon-Modus: Du reist in die 26. unterirdische Etage des Dungeons, holst das Amulett von Yendor und kehrst damit an die Oberfläche zurück. Basierend auf Brian Walkers Brogue.
- Höhlenmodus: Du erkundest eine mysteriöse Höhle, die Gerüchten zufolge mit Schätzen und Gold gefüllt sein soll. Basierend auf Willie Crowthers Colossal Cave Adventure.
