DDHeroes include tre modalità di gioco di strategia per la piattaforma iOS:
- Modalità Regni: governi il mondo sconfiggendo tutti gli altri eroi e catturando tutti i loro castelli. Ispirato a Heroes of Might and Magic II di Jon Van Caneghem.
- Modalità Dungeon: raggiungi il 26° piano sotterraneo del dungeon, recuperi l'Amuleto di Yendor e ritorni con esso in superficie. Basato su Brogue di Brian Walker.
- Modalità Caverna: esplori una misteriosa caverna che si dice sia piena di tesori e oro. Basato su Colossal Cave Adventure di Willie Crowther.
