Do not bother to waste your money. I believe higher rating given to this app are fake. To check legitimacy of the readings I enclosed my phone in a specially made enclosure with high NRC value insulations. But it always shows a wrong reading of 70~80db. I tried to reset it few times but the result remained same. Absolutely fake app
Very useful app.... Shows the noise level... If graph can be provided then good...
I'm wondering if some mean or 'average value over time' can also be provided, like average noise over last n seconds where n is chosen by user.
I purchased this app and now it won’t work because the developer needs to update the software. Not cool! Do not purchase.
The major problem, in my experience, is I never got a reading over 99 db. I am mechanical engineer and I have experience in environmental engineering; when you are at 99 and the sound gets louder, you expect the reading to increase.

Seems to be well-designed and responsive, but the scale is WAY off. In a quiet room it's reading 80, and normal conversation bumps it to 120. It needs a calibrate function.
