You will be rolling dice, which represent your crew, and assigning them to different stations to deal with incoming external and internal threats. Will you use your science die to recharge shields or fix that time warp? Will you send your engineers to deal with a robot uprising or repair your hull? Will you lead your crew to victory or meet your doom in the cold void of space?

I am a fan of Tony Go’s solo table top dice game Deep Space D6. This App brings the game to your device. Good tutorial, smooth operation, tense gameplay.
1 downfall is there no variety of ships or dice. I hope more ships can be available with future updates.
Great game!
Love this game.
Fun game
A fun game where you command a ship through a dangerous system! The game is challenging but fair, and actually reminds me of a few early sci-fi video games especially some of the text-based ones on the Altair 8800. Each turn, dice are rolled for what actions you can do, and what threat activates. Some people might not like the RNG based gameplay but I enjoy it, and find it similar to tabletop games,.
Really?
I’ve played this over a two hundred times now on easy. Did you leave a bug in there? Is something off? Addictive even though I lose every time. I did come very close twice but come on!
Fairly faithful
Fairly faithful adaptation but lacks the different hull designs and instead only simulates the basic design. The card deck does not have rescue missions or the final encounter.
It could use a bit more pizzaz but it is fairly clear, at least until the threats exceed the screen length. Also allows for some customization.
One good thing is that the program will automatically select a target when only one is available, saving time clicking.
Great Experience!
This is an excellent adaptation of the board game. Very simple and well thought out user interface. I forgot how hard this game can be though. Finally got my first win on easy after 8 tries. Overall great experience, Tony would be proud!
Has potential but poorly balanced
This game has some interesting mechanics but the difficulty level is ridiculous (even playing on beginner you can expect to lose most of the time) and a lot of dice roles result in unplayable turns. This copies the mechanics of the original but the original clearly needed tweaking.
Great adaptation
This is a great, well thought out version of the print and play version - without having to deal with all the pieces of paper.
Seeing the ‘End Phase’ button is a great confirmer that I’ve done all I can do.
The outcome of the game is, unfortunately, very dependent on lucky dice rolls and a ‘hard’ game with good rolls is easier than an ‘easy’ game with poor rolls.
As a suggestion, I would like to be able to see the board when I lose to see what did me in and how many threats I was facing, but it’s obscured by the summary box. I’m curious to see the distribution of die rolls for the game, but that’s not critical.
Too much rng too little player control
Poorly designed game mechanics mean when you get one bad turn it kills a run Getting sensor dice not only robs you of a die but also adds hazards, so getting 3 on one turn is impossible to come back from When you have 5 or more hazards more problems arise than you can control so at that point it’s game over On the other end when you have little to no hazards you can one turn clear everything leaving the game with no challenge In conclusion There are no meaningful decisions to be made in this game might as well play highest number with a d20 This is a perfectly fine game for a student project as in it’s not a game for playing it’s a game for demoing
You can’t win. Ever.
Even on the easiest difficulty, the enemies pile up so fast there is absolutely nothing you can do to win. Ever. Something has to be wrong with the rules.
