What a disappointment
Driving profile just takes you to driving history for the past couple of updates and the secondary driver functionality is completely unintuitive and also does not keep the app from being offloaded by the operating system.

The Insure app is not allowing me to add a secondary driver. I was on a call with Mokobo who directed me on how to do it. But the page to add a secondary driver would not load, even after multiple attempts. I tried to Submit a query. That also did not work… “Internal server error”. Time of this occurrence: 2024-05-31 3:29PM. Phone: iPhone XR iOS 17.4.1
I've encountered some issues with this app and its linked telemetry device that concern me. There are times when the points deduction doesn’t seem justified, and unfortunately, reaching out to Discovery's support team hasn't been very helpful. For instance, during a recent drive on Swartkoppies Rd, I noticed discrepancies between the speed recorded by the app (117km/h) and the actual speed captured by my tracker (90km/h). That’s in an 80km/h zone, and 90km/h falls within the legal tolerance limit of 10km/h above the speed limit. This inconsistency raises questions about the accuracy of other readings, such as braking and cornering. Despite my efforts to compare the app's data with my tracking device, I still find discrepancies. It's concerning and suggests there may be underlying issues that need addressing.
There technology don’t work, have to ensure you connect before every drive by closing the app and restarting it and the still it don’t connect and you get penalised with points deducted
Whilst the app allows you to designate passenger for cell usage it does not “hold” the selection and still penalizes you for cell usage. My whole family is with discovery and so all our cellphones are registered. If any of us dares to touch our cell when another is driving we lose all our points. I’m sure discovery is smiling all the way!!
App drains battery. Doesn’t always track trips and is buggy is hell.
This app consumes on average 40% of my battery daily. Very concerned the amount of tracking it does.
Points are deducted on non-drive days. Marked as uncovered trip and marked as 11km travelled in 11min (impossible trip) at times that are improbable - midnight.
*Please* can I have a 20% premium discount every time your app technology, or website fails or returns 404 page not found; in the same way Discovery deduct points if I drive 151km in a single day. Anybody reading this can tell Discovery I have a rewards program for them. If Discovery a) keep their promises (eg ‘We will reply to your email in 48-72 hours’), and b) the Discovery technology works error-free, I will award them *DIAMOND* status, and I’ll be happy to pay the quoted premium. Until then, I remain disappointed. If Discovery can’t get their tech to work, at least they can keep their automated bot’s promises of a human response within 48-72 hours. It’s kinda well polite, and like, well, some would say the professional sort of thing to do. Discovery breaking their own promises is, like, well, kinda, y’know, pretty uncool.
I'm a long time Discovery client - but waiting 15 plus minutes to get through to a consultant - to log a claim - is pathetic to say the least - I'm sorry I switched from outsurance to Discovery - So much for discovery wellness's - when they frustrate you by not answering the call - after 5 minutes of speaking to voice prompt first - Useless , going back to outsurance - at least they answer calls - Looks like Discovery wears you down - so avoid taking claims !!!!
