With Auto Tune, Ronin app can adjust motor parameters automatically based off the payload mounted. With such base line, you can further adjust the Stiffness, Strength, Control and Filter parameters accordingly.
2.Adaptive SmoothTrack
When Acceleration is set to be much higher than Speed, the Ronin will handle operator’s movements adaptively. You can achieve a complicated long take with only one group of settings.
3.Create with ease
With the newly added CamAnchor and Track mode, you can plan your shot in advance and execute it by a simple click.

Buggy and Non-functional record button
The app is a great concept, but ultimately leaves you wanting because of its bugs. For example, I have a Leica SL2 Camera mounted on the DJI RS2 Gimbal. This is a great setup and works a treat if you use the RS2 handheld. The focus and record start/stop all works as you would expect. Then going over to the app… not so much. The record button fails to work in most of the app’s “Create” functions. It simply won’t do anything. It does work in the “Track” feature, but in the basic “Virtual Joystick” mode, forget about it. This renders the app all but useless since the whole point is to be able to remote-control the rig. Guess I’ll have to buy a physical remote like those made by SmallRig or Tilta instead.
Raven eye tracking
Its a good start! Tracking is impressive for first iteration. Some better machine learning refinement and its going to be fantastic. Hopefully they spend some R&D time rather than moving on to next years product...
No IPad support???
It’s 2020.. no excuse to not have your app responsive. Planned to use the raven eye for director and can’t even give them a full screen image
Connection failure!
Why can’t I simply connect the app with Ronin-S..? All firmware updated & battery is fully charged & Bluetooth is on & I’m loading the app right next to it. But it just not connecting to the gimbal. Please help!
Can’t sign up
I haven’t had a chance to test the product because I cannot sign up!! Keep saying email invalid despite using different names for my email!!! Please help
Panorama function broken
In version 1.2.2 the panorama overlap is additive instead of subtractive. Making the pan rotation positions totally incorrect.
