Description
Once you select your camera from an extensive list of modern and vintage cameras, all you have to do is pick your distance, aperture, and lens from the 3 sliders. All the calculations you need to set up that perfect shot are instantly available as you slide the values. A simple and minimal interface helps you focus on fine-tuning your settings one-handed. Your thumb is in the sweet spot of the screen where you can move the sliders with precision and ease.
Whether you prefer metric or imperial DOF has you covered. There are settings for distance measurements in meters or feet. Aperture range starts from f/0.5 up to f/64 with or without hard stops. Focal length extends for super wide angle lenses from 3 mm all the way to 1200 mm telephoto. The distance scale starts from 0.01 meters up to 9000 meters.

App bella ma non aggiornata
L'app è fatta bene e funzionale, ma purtroppo non è aggiornata con modelli e sensori degli ultimi anni. Ad esempio manca la sony A7 IV.
The App Works Well
Just a question: for Fuji X100V why I have to setup the lens given the fact that is known that is a 23 mm. Besides shall I select 23 or 35 (considering the sensor factor) Thank You and keep on with your great work !

Best app for depth of field
I use the app to check the depth of field when I want to be sure on the outcome depending on the camera and lens combination I use. I have to say I am very happy with the app and can recommend it. Having tried other apps as well, this one is for my usage the best so far. It is simple to use and has at the same time many customizations available (especially with the paid options, which are worth it in my opinion in order to have exact camera specific results). Customer support is also great, they offered to add a missing camera and fixed a bug right away (same day!!).

Se si vuole scattare foto con la certezza di utilizzare correttamente la profondità di campo e il valore della iperfocale dell’obbiettivo è utilissima. Provata subito con i miei 4 obiettivi fornisce valori corretti.

L’aggiornamento introduce un pagamento
Prima della versione 2.3 si potevano selezionare le fotocamere gratuitamente. Con l’aggiornamento, senza preavviso, molte sono diventate a pagamento e suddivise in “pack”. Esempio su Fujifilm: la x-pro1 e la x-pro2 suno in un pack, la x100T e X100F in un’altro e la X-T1, X-T2, X-T20 ecc. in un’altro ancora. Quindi si dovrebbero acquistare 3 pack diversi. Peccato che tutte hanno la stessa dimensione del sensore. Quindi basta utilizzarne una qualsiasi per avere lo stessoDOF. Sembra una presa in giro.
