Yes, Dosh is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
🤔 The Dosh app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.

1% cash back and no annual fees. This is amazing! But I’m giving four stars only and not taking the card with me because 1. The blue card is too ugly; 2. They do not support Apple Pay (they have been saying ‘coming soon’ for a few years); 3. Some old pos machines (like the ones with black and white screens in the very old food courts) don’t support Dosh cards and only support NZ-issued bank cards. I think the Dosh card is a prepaid card, which might be why.
Monthly statement to download or email it. Live chat is inefficient.
Great for my family especially my kids
They sell it as a banking debit card but it's not, is just a prepaid card. That means you have to pay all the surcharge. No reason to use this as there are better banking credit cards with better rewards (TSB) and better non-banking accounts with better rates (Booster). To the scammy developer: You'll incur charges even without contactless. And you can phrase it the way you want to, but is still a lie. I'd file a legal claim for false advertisement but you're not worth the time.
There are long outstanding voiceover issues with the app.
You will lose money.
It’s pretty cool that you give cards away with $6 pre loaded! Just wondered can this be used overseas and is there any costs to put money on and exchange rate etc for example my daughter in Oz wants $1000 but in the end it will end up being $800 or so thru a bank
This let’s me seperate money into different sections like I can insert money into my Fortnite saving account plus it’s easy to use 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The Dosh application has been exhibiting steady progress, and the latest addition of the stashes and strive features is commendable. The features seems quite promising, and the overall layout change is aesthetically appealing. Moreover, the customer service is noteworthy and has been consistently satisfactory. However, there is still room for improvement. Like many users, I am disappointed that the application does not support Apple Pay, which is a widely-used and popular payment method. It is highly recommended that the Dosh team makes this option available soon. Despite being functional, the application is prone to occasional glitches and freezes, and the developers must address these issues to ensure a seamless user experience. The topping-up feature also requires improvement. While the windcave "instant option" is available, it may take more time than expected to process, and entering bank login details repeatedly can be time-consuming. The addition of a bank card option would be highly appreciated. Furthermore, the app's login process could benefit from some enhancements. Introducing a username and password field would add an extra layer of security to the app. While the current method of sending a code via text message is acceptable, it could be improved by adding an authenticator app option. An option to log in to the account via the website would also be greatly appreciated in case of phone loss or theft. The integration of new features would significantly enhance the app's functionality. The incorporation of budgeting tools, similar to those available on sorted.org, could promote healthy spending habits and help users manage the current cost of living crisis. The addition of spending graphs would also be useful in aiding users to identify areas in which they could reduce spending. Despite these suggestions for improvement, I am impressed with the app's current state and commend the Dosh team for their efforts. I give the application a five-star rating and am confident that the Dosh team will continue to work towards delivering key improvements.
