"Elegant, easy to navigate and sounds brilliant."
"I can't enough express how amazed and happy I am playing this app. Before writing this review I read the manual (you must) and tested every parameter until I understood perfectly how each one responded to the final output sound. I have to tell you the presets do not show how powerful this synth can be, you have to tweak by yourself every filter, modifier and fx's. For me the filter is the secret in this app to get a differentiated sound compared to your other synth app's. Filter adds a deep texture and resolution to the sound that I forgot lfo's and adsr's.”
"One of the best iPad synthesizers!"
"This sounds better than 99% of iOS synths. Filters are awesome. Modulation options are numerous. Effects are great. Sounds like a Mac plugin, not an iOS synth. Very little out there like this. I have paid hundreds on the Mac for this kind of sound."
"A wonderful synth with its own unique character to it."
"This app is excellent! Just enough of a twist on the standard synth app to make it worth the investment. Patch creation seems to be the focus, and UI is perfect for flipping back and forth while working out new presets."
"Huge tone that will cut through any mix Fantastic control options for the musician Rich sounds and a beautiful visual design A developer who cares greatly about his customers and creation (frequent updates) It's alive! Recommended!"
"Easy to lose yourself in sound design. The sound sources, fx, filters and modulations are all laid out to be very easily accessible. The mixer is great for tweaking the balance between the sound sources to fine tune your sound. Can tell some love went in to making this"
"Great, rich, full-sounding sounds! Great job!!!"
"Awesome updates from a developer who truly cares about both their customers and their work. Nice job!"
"It is FAT. The interface is intuitive. It is universal."
"This is really a fine example of a synthesizer whose developers love synthesizers. It is rather difficult to explain, but there is something within not only the interface, but in the nature of the sounds that this thing produces that shows their passion. This synthesizer is a patch designer's tool, not a preset player. Yes, it does come with some nice patches which show off some of its abilities, but when you start to dig in yourself, you can create some really unusual sounds."
"Excellent job guys. The GUI looks great and everything is extremely easy to access and in a logical way."
"Nice effects section great delay nice chord section IAA instrument support complete with transport bar and Midi learn. Good stuff."

One of my favorite apps!!!

The best synth on the App Store

By far my favorite software synth! Period. So simple to use. The interface is so intuitive. Sound quality is absolutely incredible. It’s hard to believe this is a software synth after hearing the sound quality. Sooooo analog! The team really spend time on this one. Also very versatile, and it goes very deep for you synth heads. It’s very stable too and can easily handle multiple instances in a DAW. Love the midi controller support also.

Simple in a good way, yet powerful where it counts.

I don’t use iPad synths much these days, but used to all time and this one was a mainstay in my sonic toolkit, as it were. I also have the VST for PC and it’s basically exactly like I stated in the title: simple and concise in terms of layout, but powerful in terms of sounds and options.

Keeps prompting me to repurchase

The purchased iconic sounds one and two in 2021 but now it’s unavailable. How do I restore any purchases I made? Please help!

Very good synthesizer. It operates like a professional synth. Patch change smoothly! Also smooth with keys, locked on hold and switching patches quickly.

Fantastic synth!

I bought this synth long ago and have since purchased all the preset expansions, as well as their granular synth, FRMS and it’s expansions, and their delay plugin, K7D which is also incredible and well worth your time and money. I’ve also bought the desktop versions. Imaginando was early to the game of soft synths creatively designed to be used on a computer or decode and still does that better than most. What that means is you have all the parameters people who know something about real, analogue synthesizers want and expect to create their own sounds, but rather than mimicking physical layouts of “real” synths they designed it to be more screen-friendly. For those of us who either don’t know anything about synthesis or don’t want to have to spend a lot of time learning or finding the perfect sound, they have their very well-priced preset expansion packs, which have some incredible settings for showing how rich and varied DRC can sound. DRC has a very unique sound and competes with the best. I’d take it and FRMS over most soft synths. I wasn’t surprised to see a lot of other developers jump on the bandwagon and follow this model and Imaginando remains at the top. In terms of sound, functionality, parameter layout and price, DRC is a definite favorite of mine and remains a desert island soft synth. As a product fan and loyal customer, I wanted to respond to some of negative reviews which are wildly under-infomed and misleading and unfortunate for their impact on the overall rating. First off, price: the stock synth comes with a sizable package of presets that’s allow you to start with a ton of asound options and tweak from there. For those who don’t care to learn how to actually use or create their own sound with a synthesizer (I’m guilty of relying on presets often to save time) you can buy preset packs, which are all incredible. Don’t think of buying presets as “unlocking the full synth” think of it as purchasing the convenience of not being forced to learn how to create your own presets. I’m including myself in that, as I end up buying more synths rather than mastering the ones I love. Lastly, there is nothing missing in terms of expected feature like note-holding, etc. take some time to explore all the functions and you will be rewarded. Also, take some time to really explore before slagging a really top-notch product and great company who is clearly not a bandwagon, money-centered enterprise. DRC is fantastic, Imaginando is a great comp

Smooth and wild...

Smooth, easy interface. Easy to get up to speed on and actually use. Sounds are top notch. Love the black/white look as well. Yeh, not important to the sound, but cool nevertheless. A winner.

Heavily dependent on effects

These sounds are 100% drown in excess reverb / delay. A cheap lazy way of patch making. For a company called “Imaginando” these sounds contain very little imagination lol. Thanks but no thanks.

Very easy to use. very clean and intuitive interface. Sound absolutely incredible. It’s hard to believe this is a software synth after hearing the sound quality. it’s very versatile, and it goes very deep. It’s pretty stable too. Love the Midi controller support also. I’m getting the desktop version as soon as I can.
