Drive Weather: Road Conditions

I used this app to help me navigate from Rhode Island to Virginia during Hurricane Debby. It needs lots of improvement—confusing to use and the conditions were not nearly as bad as indicated.

You can’t even add a destination address in the free version. After every digit you type it pops up asking if you want to use the free version or upgrade. What is the point in having a “free version” of a trip planner if you can’t even put in a destination address? Deleted the app immediately.

Fantastic app! It’s incredibly clear and user-friendly. The user experience is top-notch. Highly functional even in the free version. Perfect for planning road trips. Strongly recommended!

I decided to drive around America and put 12,000 miles on my camper van in a month point I drive into Tallahassee Florida and it was completely black. I drove for miles right through the city center and everything was black. This was way more than a power outage. This was really spooky. I finally came across a cluster of stores that had electricity. I then learned from the staff that they had a tornado rip through Tallahassee at 6 AM. Everyone was freaked out. I could’ve driven right into it… Only after that, I searched and found this app which honestly is a lifesaver… And it’s accurate too. 5 stars🎉

I tried this app and I found it to be totally inaccurate and very difficult to use. I don’t know why it gets such good ratings. Look for a free app that way you’re not wasting your money.

I wanted a weather app. Not be sold some concert thing. Me credit card info needed when it is free

We got this to help plan our vacation trips, but find ourselves tuning it on it every day to look at weather at friends’ houses far away, potential dream trips, weekend getaway ideas. This guy did a really good job.

Update: I have not used this app in a while. I used to have a paid subscription, but I’m just not taking as many road trips. I’m taking a long drive today and opened it up. I cannot even type in the destination address. Every time I input any character it asks me if I want to upgrade or use the free version. I hit free and then put in another number of the address and it comes up again. I thought this must be a bug so I deleted the app and reinstalled it. apparently, that is the new normal. That’s too bad because it’s a great app and I recommended it to so many people. Past (5 star) review: I’ve been using this app for at least a year. I love how it will tell me how the weather will change, depending upon what time I’m going to leave. Twice in the last trip that I took, its advice has saved me from getting caught in terrible storms. I change my route, depending upon the weather and change the time I’m going to leave, depending upon the weather. It’s really great.

We used this app to locate a clear place to view the eclipse. The drive was 12 hours and weather forecast was accurate throughout the trip. It is a fantastic way to locate good weather for day trips. No more bad weather adventures.

This is a delightfully useful app for knowing the weather along your travel route. You can change the timeline to see if changing the timing of your departure will let you avoid bad weather or seek good weather. You can even see radar forecasts for the expected time you’ll be in a particular area. If you’re looking for an app to help plan routes based on weather this is it.
