How much does Drum Beats cost?
Drum Beats has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is £7.19.
NOT a metronome app - and a big problem with tempo
If this had metronome functionality, the very least it would let you do would be to vary the beat tempo of any of the beats. I paid the upgrade to unlock all the beats - and a massive number of them are at a fixed tempo with the ability to vary it greyed out!!!
£6.99 for the app and £19.99 a year subscription on top - and very limited ability to vary the tempo - VERY unimpressed. I am on the most up-ro-date IOS. Unless this massive fault is fixed, I’ll be needing a refund.
Disappointed
Just overall a really disappointing app. You have no control over the beat, you just get a bunch of bad presets that you have to choose from. The selection is also terrible. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. I feel like they stole my money, any 5-year old could make this app.
4 stars easy - but in what way does it IAA with GB?
Great beats and I cannot even recall what I paid for this app, it was for just playing along to, so far so good. However, the app blurb on appstore does specifically claim to ‘use Inter App Audio to work with Garageband’ or similar...how exactly? The idea is to in some way integrate - there’s no ‘record/stop’ button appears, and once you have flicked out of GarageBand and gotten into Drum Beats, that’s it, that’s the limit of the interaction. A one-way exit, you jumped! No recording whatsoever, is possible using this app, into GB on iOS. By all means, lay out the instructions, but there seems no route to do this. Eventually, you want to put together a track, is all.
Waste of time
You get to pay £4.99 which gives you a free trial for 7 days AND then you need to pay more.
Complete waste of time - do not buy as you will not get your money back,
Basic rhythms, good stuff subscription
I didn’t read the full description so paid £4.99 for something that should be free or 99p. The good stuff is subscription. You can pay a life time fee but for more than the cost of a decent drum machine, a real one!
A great practice tool that also works as a backing track
I bought this app because a wanted something other than a metronome click to practice guitar with. The drum loops are great and have a really nice groove to them. The basic package is fine but the full subscription open up a diverse selection of rhythms, drum grooves and breaks. I never thought I’d find myself playing fingerpicking guitar to a rumba rhythm until now. Also I received great personal service from the CEO following a suggestion about the app.
Be honest
When i was downloading the app i paid 4.99 pounds it was fine till here open up the app there is few rhythm for free than asking me 69.99 pounds a year ! If you were going to ask money why you didnt make the app free to download and if you wanna use it pay it monthly . I think its not right charging people upfront then asking monthly payments if you want more rhythm.
A must-have App for all ages!
I’ve used similar music-type Apps in the past and never really got on with them. However, this one seems incredibly comprehensive and at a price of £4.99 provides real value for money! Me and my nephews are going to have some fun with this! Highly recommended! 5*
Don’t buy for Blues!
Hi,
Overall really great App.
It is let down by the woeful and deliberate ploy to seek further payment in order to access ‘Blues I and II’.
You’re limited to two Blues Beats only.
Had I known in advance I would have never ‘paid’ for this App.
I note another reviewer has stated the same in August last year; so the developers have clearly ignored the exact same complaint.
I do not like being taken for a ride (pun intended), and until the developers take action, I suggest those whom would like access to Blues Beats try elsewhere.
NOTE TO DEVELOPERS , if you are going to place a strong-hold on one genre of music, I think you must be legally obliged to divulge your reasons for doing so, and highlight it to potential customers. This is a paid for App after all!
Needs file Sharing
When I plug my iPod into iTunes, there is no music files or midi files to export. It would be nice for pro users, they have paid a bit of money so they are expecting something simple like this
