Doesn't connect after DSM7
Everything was working fine until I had to upgrade to DSM7. Now, I can no longer connect to DS File remotely. I get an error saying WebDav is no longer supported on DSM7 and hence my DF File does accept my connection.
Please, update!
When watching videos, it lags so much! I maxed the memory already! Even worse than WD MyCloud!
Disappointed!
The app don’t play video and always as bug. It’s frustrated, after all the $ we’ve paid for a synology!

When playing videos, the player does not give you the option to locate the subtitles file. Please provide
Latest version not working with DSM 6.2.4
Ds file used to work very well. Since last update, it doesn’t want to log in anymore: user namenor password incorrect. I even created another user to male sure everything was ok,no success. This update has a bug and there is not way to get back to the other version…
More than one session?
Hi! Thanks for making DS File, I've been using it regularly for about a decade. It's great! An issue is about security user privileges. As a user and the admin, I can't switch quickly between sessions. For the past decade I was using only one account with all privileges. Always been annoying me, coming from Linux never using root account. So now that I've cleaned up my setup, I find myself using Safari in Desktop mode to do things from DS Finder who's using the admin account. DS File isn't. It's hard to do things in desktop mode. It's annoying to logoff/logon. Can we have something about more than one session in DS File? (Maybe I'm not the first to ask, probably the reason it's not there's is dur to technical debt, since this App is more than a decade old)
App missing from iOS Files storage list
Each time I download a file from web browsers or make a screenshot with intention to save them to my DS918+, the DS File app is simply missing from the list of available storage options of the iOS Files that was called out. However, DS Files is enabled in the Files app when open the Files app directly.
Downside of the software
I like but, when uploading DNG photos, it will convert them to JPG. I’m writing it here, because the developer doesn’t provide just an email to simply ask for help.
Don’t buy Synology NAS
As a 2-year user of Synolgy NAS, my considered opinion is that I have made a mistake purchasing Synology. They have too many applications with overlapping features and most don’t work as advertised. Their tech. Support is also not adequate. Synology seems to lack strategy. They are trying to emulate Apple Photos app, while missing on core NAS features.
