Eye candy only. Worse than useless.

Cbr600f1 on

As much as it looks nice when initially installed and started, the disappointment will soon follow. Sygic navigation is incredibly bad when avoiding traffic. GPX navigation is none existent (and no, the web site workaround does not work). The connect app loves to disconnect, lags, and limits app availability on the bike. Bring CarPlay please.

Unacceptable from a premium manufacturer

dan**** on

I installed this and all needed apps to make it work, it doesn’t work for the US. Similar results posted on many Ducati forums, this app only works in a few European countries. I installed this on my 2022 pikes peak multistrada V4 and I have now erased everything and installed an expensive garmin gps in combination with my iphone to manage my music and gps duties. In 2022, for a +30k motorcycle from a premium manufacturer, only a proven app like Apple CarPlay and android auto should have been installed like all other premium manufacturers are installing in their vehicles.

More problematic than useful

SySy A on

Like many if not all other reviewers App Store, the app (and Ducati’s general multimedia strategy) is far more problematic than it is useful. It’s decision to go with a bit player third-party non-integrated navigation provider, its complexity, inconsistent reliance on taking over your entire phone, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth while in use, etc., make this app extremely cumbersome and so unreliable that it is absolutely more of a hindrance than useful.

Monster

I guess my new 2022 monster plus doesn’t support this? 😒

Wifi connection needed for maps

Guapolaw on

I seem to need to be hooked up to wifi to download ducati connect . To use map app. I can pair Bluetooth with my iPhone , no problem. But if I turn off the bike and dont have wifi How do I get maps back on the display ?

Worst App Ever

NYC Helpful on

Would give this app zero stars if possible. Amazing Multistrada bike with a communication system that literally does not work. Have been to the dealer three times already to troubleshoot and now just giving up. Not worth the aggravation. It’s almost like they want you to experience the cycle ride rather than be immersed in playing with electronics. If that was the true goal, Ducati has succeeded! (Me finding the upside…) No doubt they will post the standard response as noted on all the other horrible ratings. Suggest the app team save their time and start over. I heard Google makes a nice map?

2021 Multistrada v4s SAFETY HAZARD

dangerhazard screen lockout on

Why they didn’t just go with what works and a touch screed…. Will never know. Total meltdown app and I hope they get it fixed and debugged. The lockout screen and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth constant fail with iPhone 13 pro max. Also, was prompted for the subscription with syrgic which is supposed to be free and automatic. Prefer Waze and google among others.

Better than I thought going in

Nabrielah on

I figured using this was going to be absolute garbage. As it turns out the nav is functional enough once you do the very silly connection dance and I’m glad it has default offline maps. Needing to leave the phone on is pretty jank but likely a limitation from apple/Google. Low power popups when the phone hits 10% cause the navigation to freeze without any indication on the dash, which is suboptimal. It’s a bit mystifying why Ducati went with this over CarPlay. Would love to hear why they think Bosch MySpin (which this is a reskin of AFAIK?) is better than the platform native auto integrations.

Disservice to your customers

Hypnodic on

After spending $30k on an amazing bike why would you force us to use a 3rd tier never heard of nav app, ONLY music saved on our phones, and wait upwards of 5 minutes to connect both through Bluetooth AND Wi-Fi when Car Play and Android auto are tried and true? And this AFTER making us pay for activating radar when purchasing a “FULL” package? The system disconnects often DURING rides which makes navigating difficult. Why wouldn’t the USB connector ON the bike auto connect? Why would you leave that compartment with not ventilation to overheat a phone? So many why’s. Do your customers a favor so we don’t have to set up whole other brackets to hold our phones or other nav systems. PLEASE The response while appreciated still grossly misses the mark. I can guarantee that 90% or more of the riders who spent the $30k on this bike use Waze and Spotify. Sygic is great for international travel … meaning outside of the US. With the bike clamoring to be versatile enough for most or any road…Apple CarPlay or Android Auto would have made this whole thing much more user friendly

terrible choice

Smmitaliano on

the best motorcycle ever… but wrong choice of software technology for navigation, music etc. very unfriendly. please do something to improve this experience. I stopped using it.
