The widgets and apps are doing what they're supposed to do. What's subtracting the 4 stars is the greedy business model. You start with a trial and no information on what the "pro version" offers. Basically stating "unlocking all features". The caveat is that the unpaid version is a useless piece.. which just causes a pop-up requesting you to pay for the pro version to continue using the app. Further more: pricing is ridicilous for what it does. Don't waste your time setting it up. You're gonna uninstall it in a week anyways.

I took off a star because I would like a smaller widget size to add to the main screen-and perhaps some font/text options?

I’ve been wanting to switch to a true dumb phone for a while but have a hard time with the idea of not having (good) access to maps, notes, a good camera, banking apps, Spotify, etc. This app helps solve the problem! I’m much less inclined to get distracted by all kinds of notifications or other distractions when I pick my phone up now, and when I do, I do it with intention. The main screen alone makes my phone much less addictive without the colourful apps and notification bubbles. Detox mode is incredibly helpful as well - completely hiding those distracting apps so they don’t come into view in the App Library or spotlight search. Used in conjunction with an app like opal or freedom (apps that completely lock you out of certain apps during a set schedule or after a certain amount of time) this app will help you take back your time and attention and truly use your phone as a tool again.

Reduces screen time and distraction but annoyingly changes background colors frequently requiring manual intervention.

Thank you so much! After using the dumb phone app, I noticed a significant change in my habits. I feel much better without sacrificing the access to the useful and powerful phone I need at times. Initially, I was considering getting an actual dumb phone, but this app allows me to have the best of both worlds.

Great app with clean interface and lots of easy customizations.

Does what it says. Honestly wish I didn’t have to pay to simplify, but that’s the world we live in I suppose. The most distracting thing in the world is also the tool we use for so many things it’s insane. These phones are designed to keep us on them. Let’s keep using it as a tool and not be used ourselves.

I feel like this app has quickly helped me escape the prison of my phone. I’m finding myself more awake and alive around me already and less inclined to fill All gaps in conversation or activity with my phone. But I’m still able to USE it as a tool! Shoutout to Michael for making it SO easy to understand and setup and for personally reaching out when I used the inquiry system. So impressed with his kindness!! I wish the team all the best.
