I took off a star because I would like a smaller widget size to add to the main screen-and perhaps some font/text options?

I’ve been wanting to switch to a true dumb phone for a while but have a hard time with the idea of not having (good) access to maps, notes, a good camera, banking apps, Spotify, etc. This app helps solve the problem! I’m much less inclined to get distracted by all kinds of notifications or other distractions when I pick my phone up now, and when I do, I do it with intention. The main screen alone makes my phone much less addictive without the colourful apps and notification bubbles. Detox mode is incredibly helpful as well - completely hiding those distracting apps so they don’t come into view in the App Library or spotlight search. Used in conjunction with an app like opal or freedom (apps that completely lock you out of certain apps during a set schedule or after a certain amount of time) this app will help you take back your time and attention and truly use your phone as a tool again.

Thank you so much! After using the dumb phone app, I noticed a significant change in my habits. I feel much better without sacrificing the access to the useful and powerful phone I need at times. Initially, I was considering getting an actual dumb phone, but this app allows me to have the best of both worlds.

Does what it says. Honestly wish I didn’t have to pay to simplify, but that’s the world we live in I suppose. The most distracting thing in the world is also the tool we use for so many things it’s insane. These phones are designed to keep us on them. Let’s keep using it as a tool and not be used ourselves.

I feel like this app has quickly helped me escape the prison of my phone. I’m finding myself more awake and alive around me already and less inclined to fill All gaps in conversation or activity with my phone. But I’m still able to USE it as a tool! I had used an app called Before Launcher on Android. But because there were no small phones on android I switched to an iPhone 13 mini. The dumb phone app is exactly what I needed. Michael responded quickly to a couple of questions that I had and suggestions to make the switch from android to iPhone more seamless. It is well worth it for those who are tired of the flashing and blinking multicolor lights that are native to an iPhone and even android. The simplicity is refreshing.

Wow! I am truly grateful for this app, talk about an answer to prayer. I was tired of missing out on the things that matter because of how distracting the colors and such on the phone can be. Dumb Phone has already given me back precious time with my family. My stress levels have dropped. I feel free! My phone is now a tool, not something that consumes me. I am telling our family and friends about this. I want everyone to know about this incredible app … and they’ll wish they found it sooner! The app is incredibly easy to set up. I love that you can select dark or light. The developer is the kindest. I submitted two app requests and he emailed me personally to help me set them up on my phone. Amazing support!
