It’s really good.
I get you guys have to make money but ads every resting level or chest level is obnoxious and annoying. Plus the last update released for this game was 2 years ago. The actual gameplay is actually pretty good though so if you stumbled across this game try it out.
Want to play Slay the Spire without paying and don’t mind watching a couple of ads each run? There’s slight differences but it’s almost a 1:1 clone. If you’re thinking of getting the paid version then just buy Slay the Spire instead. 5 stars!
Would give 4 maybe 5 stars if the grind wasn’t so long to unlock characters. I’ve played enough to unlock all cards in the first available class, on highest difficulty. I’m not the greatest gamer either so it’s the design. Sure I can pay but prices are high for unlocks, and it’s always more rewarding to unlock through reasonable progression. Game is now boring for me.
Literally every card and mechanic is ripped straight from slay the spire. Cards have the same names and effects, same relic and energy system as well as the same map progression just watered down and riddled with pop up ads.
Fun game! No tutorial, but if you played any card games like this before…super straight forward…downfall is the ads sometimes kicks you out of the game and you need to start again! Quite frustrating…
I mean, it’s not even a subtle Slay the Spire clone - the cards, relics and enemies are basically identical save for a different energy cost here or a redesigned model there. It’s not as good as StS - of course - their bar is just that high, but if you don’t want to pay for StS (for some reason, you really should if you like the genre) and you’re happy to watch annoying ads then you could do worse. It would be good to make it more obvious when you are out of energy, and where to see your relics and curses. And to come up with something to set it apart from StS.
Constant repeated and misleading ads make it almost unplayable. When u die u can watch ads to continue but u r dead anyway and have to restart which is a con. Rather pay a few bucks and have no ads but can’t. Also unclear which unlocks are for play through or permanent.
Love this game! the take on card balance here is intruiging. Making the removal of cards a key feature in really maxing out your play-style near the end of each dungeon is definitely my favourite concept. I've found it a bit puzzling to navigate the menus. I understand now but I felt it was unclear of where I should spend my coins at first. Can't wait to see if I have any more features to unlock. I hope to be able to edit my starter deck but I don't want that to ruin this spectularly enjoyable challenge.
I played several card games like this one before and I have to say watching a few auto ads during each act gets old fast(not even including the ads you have to watch if you die). The card descriptions could use some improvement because some of the details aren’t very clear(they are only clear to me because I played these card games before but beginners will struggle a little bit).
