Dustbunny: Emotions to Plants

Grow plants in your cozy room

Published by: Dustbunny Game

Description

Dustbunny is more than just an idle game; it’s a warm and relaxing journey that guides you in reconnecting with your repressed emotions. In this whimsical world, your emotions manifest as adorable creatures called Emotibuns, who love to hide and need your help to express themselves. By catching these shy creatures, you can grow them into beautiful plants—some of which are extremely rare! Engage in fun interactions like watering, pest control, and even singing to your plants. Enjoy relaxing mini-games, such as catching bubbles in your bubble tea, all while transforming your room into a safe space where you may encounter your inner child.
There was always a void inside your mind, like a sinkhole. One day, you woke up inside the void.
You find yourself in a dusty, abandoned room, greeted by a friendly bunny who seems to hold the keys to the secrets of the room.
There are some things you can do in this room.

⁕ Catch your repressed emotions ⁕
As you explore the dusty room, keep an eye out for Emotibuns—shy creatures that disguise themselves as dust bunnies. They represent your repressed emotions, such as sadness, anger, anxiety, loneliness, and emptiness. These creatures are quick, so stay alert! Once you catch and name an Emotibun, it will express its emotion and sprout into a unique plant, complete with an ID card to log your journey of care and growth.
⁕ Love your plants & yourself ⁕
What’s your love language? With over 20 ways to nurture your plants, you can use Care Cards for basic tasks like watering and pest control, as well as more personal actions like singing and writing to them. Each plant is one-of-a-kind, growing dynamically to communicate with you—it sparkles when healthy, droops when sick, and might even jump out of its pot! As you learn to care for your plants, remember to extend that love to yourself, too.
⁕ Collect rare plants ⁕
Each Emotibun transforms into a unique plant species, ranging from common varieties to the elusive unicorn plant. Challenge yourself to collect all the plants in the Plant Index, and discover rare genetic mutations called variegation that create unique leaf patterns. Advanced players can unlock abilities to create one-of-a-kind hybrid plants.
⁕ Befriend Empathy ⁕
You’ll be guided by Empathy, a friendly, winged bunny! Empathy offers daily affirmations and shares wisdom about emotions and self-love to help you on your journey.
⁕ Get cozy with nostalgic objects ⁕
Every object in your room is interactive! Enjoy mini-games with nostalgic items like bubble tea, plushies, and cup noodles. Some will help you relax, while others might surprise you!
⁕ Decorate your dream room ⁕
The in-game shop updates daily with adorable decor and furniture options. From Ghibli-inspired cottagecore to mid-century modern styles, create your dream room and share it with our community!
⁕ Complete your narrative ⁕
Uncover the story behind the room and the five emotions as you progress, leading you to discover your inner child.

I never liked plant-growing apps until I downloaded this adorable game. Now when I wake up in the morning or get home from work the first thing I do is fire up the game. The plants are gorgeous and very detailed, and I learned so much about indoor plants while getting my daily dopamine hit of lo-fi relaxation and bliss. I look forward to the different daily items to play with. I especially appreciate that the game is somehow so cute and so realistic at the same time, with little details like the shadows of specific plants on the wall if you put a pot on the windowsill. I’ve been playing for about a month now, and I am still deeply addicted. If I have any suggestions, it would be to add maybe another song or two. Highly recommended game and major kudos to the developers!

This game really feels relaxing w/ the lofi.I downloaded the game a few hours ago and i already planted 5 plants and 2-3 duplicate bunnies which i think its ok for now i think what’s bothering is that the bubble tea minigame when ur trying to collect the pearls the ice and pearls just floats up which is weird and improvements is to add more lofi, more variants of bunnies and add like an objective or how to control certain items for some minigames especially the paper aeroplane one ( i didnt know u had to drag to aim it) but yeah overall its really great

Can't play

Will change my review if it ends up getting fixed but it will not play for me because it wont let me enter my birthday on my iPad. Maybe this is only made to play on an iPhone?

LOVE this game

I don’t write reviews often unless I really like a game or strongly hate it lol. This one? Absolutely no regrets downloading. I’ve got about 6-7 hours in and Im obsessed. It’s simple, but not too simple, super cute, the graphics/overall design are great, the game concept is an absolute chefs kiss. Calming but still entertaining and easy to get distracted with. Love to sit and listen to my audiobook while taking care of my plants and collecting dust. I really hope the Devs continue with the great work and keep coming out with new content and plants! I would loooove to see more colorful ones! I genuinely have only one complaint, I would be love to see a “Life Time” ad skip pass added in as I have sooo many other subscriptions and adding another just isnt fun. Oh also better compatibility with iPads would be awesome. It’s not bad but the screen is super zoomed out.

Genius game with limitations

I love that I didn’t have to pay for it initially and how much I can grow in this game. I love how meaningful everything is and I’m constantly thinking about it! A big downside is lack of mini games. Even if it was easy merge or matching, it would still be something else to do to build your energy, sparkles or carrots. It’s a little boring if I don’t have another game to switch to when I’m waiting for something to be ready in Dustbunny. What’s ridiculous is the amount of sparkles and carrots you need to buy or upgrade anything in your room. It seems a little unattainable at times and I refuse to buy a small amount of anything with real money.

This is so comforting
