Description

Dustbunny is more than just an idle game; it’s a warm and relaxing journey that guides you in reconnecting with your repressed emotions. In this whimsical world, your emotions manifest as adorable creatures called Emotibuns, who love to hide and need your help to express themselves. By catching these shy creatures, you can grow them into beautiful plants—some of which are extremely rare! Engage in fun interactions like watering, pest control, and even singing to your plants. Enjoy relaxing mini-games, such as catching bubbles in your bubble tea, all while transforming your room into a safe space where you may encounter your inner child.
There was always a void inside your mind, like a sinkhole. One day, you woke up inside the void.
You find yourself in a dusty, abandoned room, greeted by a friendly bunny who seems to hold the keys to the secrets of the room.
There are some things you can do in this room.

⁕ Catch your repressed emotions ⁕
As you explore the dusty room, keep an eye out for Emotibuns—shy creatures that disguise themselves as dust bunnies. They represent your repressed emotions, such as sadness, anger, anxiety, loneliness, and emptiness. These creatures are quick, so stay alert! Once you catch and name an Emotibun, it will express its emotion and sprout into a unique plant, complete with an ID card to log your journey of care and growth.
⁕ Love your plants & yourself ⁕
What’s your love language? With over 20 ways to nurture your plants, you can use Care Cards for basic tasks like watering and pest control, as well as more personal actions like singing and writing to them. Each plant is one-of-a-kind, growing dynamically to communicate with you—it sparkles when healthy, droops when sick, and might even jump out of its pot! As you learn to care for your plants, remember to extend that love to yourself, too.
⁕ Collect rare plants ⁕
Each Emotibun transforms into a unique plant species, ranging from common varieties to the elusive unicorn plant. Challenge yourself to collect all the plants in the Plant Index, and discover rare genetic mutations called variegation that create unique leaf patterns. Advanced players can unlock abilities to create one-of-a-kind hybrid plants.
⁕ Befriend Empathy ⁕
You’ll be guided by Empathy, a friendly, winged bunny! Empathy offers daily affirmations and shares wisdom about emotions and self-love to help you on your journey.
⁕ Get cozy with nostalgic objects ⁕
Every object in your room is interactive! Enjoy mini-games with nostalgic items like bubble tea, plushies, and cup noodles. Some will help you relax, while others might surprise you!
⁕ Decorate your dream room ⁕
The in-game shop updates daily with adorable decor and furniture options. From Ghibli-inspired cottagecore to mid-century modern styles, create your dream room and share it with our community!
⁕ Complete your narrative ⁕
Uncover the story behind the room and the five emotions as you progress, leading you to discover your inner child.

Key Features
⁕ Name your Emotibuns and grow them into plants using over 20 care cards.
⁕ Experience unique plant growth—no two plants look the same, as they grow procedurally in 3D.
⁕ Collect over 30 popular and rare plants, including hybrid varieties.
⁕ Craft yummy treats for Emotibuns and compost for your plants, all from dust.
⁕ Interactive objects provide gentle focus and tactile stimulation for stress relief.
⁕ Journal your journey with stickers and Polaroid photos.

This game is absolutely amazing! I love the art style and graphics of the game, it’s also so addictive and fun! The other games have you grind but this game is so much more then that! It’s so different from the other games and I love it! But I would love to see more plants and emotibuns but other then that it’s so cute and adorable the game helps me calm my mind. Keep up the work!

I love this game. I love every feature - the way that you can collect sparkles to get cute decor, items like boba, ramen, and so much more! +( fun mini games for energy. ) The amount of varieties of plants you can get, and the adorable art style. A wonderful concept of dust bunnies and making them literally dust bunnies and such a well thought out concept that is still gradually having added features. The Discord for this game has a wonderful community that you can to talk about the game, or about other things- and allows us to ask any questions, suggestions for the game and even gives us some guides. 100% recommend for people wanting a game that is chill, relaxing, cute, amazing concept and is honestly really healing, and i have NEVER written a review for a game/app before so this really is a special game :)) All the love to the developers of Dust Bunny. <3

I love this game beyond works can describe. I’m a generally depressed person.. I have a hard time getting into things and especially mobile phone games. But this one really hit something deep. I have a few house plants and they’ve really brought me happiness so this game is definitely a comfort game 100%.

Why is it free?

This is the best plant game I’ve played on iOS. All the components of a great game with an undertone of mental health. The only downside is of course pricing. It’s 4.99 for 100 carrots which only gets you maybe one decor item. That feels expensive. I’d pay a fee to play this game for sure but not 5 dollars for one thing. Also, some of the energy goals don’t make sense. The ‘use Mist 5 times’ which costs 30 energy but the task only rewards you 50 energy. Small stuff that’s more annoying definitely not prohibitive. Still really like playing the game. I hope it’s supported so it can grow 🥰

Dustbunny for the win

This game is something really special. I look forward to maintaining my plants every day, and there’s an added bonus of helping me learn about my emotions and giving me a safe space to process them. I feel like I have been looking for a game like this my whole life and I’m grateful to the creators for bringing it to life. Empathy is precious and I massively enjoy his visits. I think this is the first review I’ve ever written, actually. Oh and the items you can decorate your room with are so satisfying to collect and go through and collect energy from. I do have one qualm or maybe it’s a misunderstanding. It seems to me that items you have to buy with carrots are unavailable completely unless you buy carrots with real money? Maybe I just haven’t progressed enough to earn my own carrots? But so far it seems that carrots are real money only and it’s made me rather sad as I have no money to spend on these items as much as I would love to. But besides this, the game is very fulfilling and satisfying.
