There are over one hundred additional Bibles, commentaries, dictionaries, lexicons, reference books and devotionals that you can download and add to your library absolutely free!

Also available are some "locked" resources which must be purchased from their publisher. These are copyright and licensing requirements which are unavoidable.

Please note that e-Sword HD is an *ENGLISH* release (but does include Spanish UI localization.) There are dozens of non-English Bibles available, but all other content is in English.

Still the best!

I’ve used numerous Bible study apps, and e-sword is still number one! I’ve paid for some extras, but even the basic free app is awesome!

Best Bible program ever.

I love the simplicity of this program, the heart of the developer who gives it away for free, and even though it's free punches above its weight class. The access to various resources is very practical. The layout and design of E-sword is very easy to use yet the use of the more advanced features aren't hard to learn. ABSOLUTELY LOVE E-SWORD!!!!!!

The best

I have used E-Sword on my PC for a number of years and it has always been my favourite bible software. Since it has been ported to mobile devices it is still the only bible app I use. It is feature rich and easy to use. Downloading of bible versions and resources work seamlessly. As well, the developers continue to update and enhance the software. I had a technical issue with the app regarding IOS compatibility and to my surprise the developer resolved issue in less than 24 hours of submitting the problem. There are some good bible software apps out there, but E-Sword continues to be my favourite for all the above reasons. Many thanks to the developers for this great app!

Sword Bible. app.

This app. Is very well laid out and useful. One exception that I have is to copy verses together and print them. The bible help, for the verses you are looking at is very good too. I am happy with this App.

Long time user!

I've used e-sword for many years on both computer and iPad. It's certainly my "go-to" resource! I've always appreciated the effort that has gone into making such a useful tool for study and research. On a scale of 1 to 10' it scores a "well gone my good and faithful servant".

I’ve tried many bible apps but hands this is the best bible study app.

This app brings you closer to God faster!!

I have plenty of uses for the iPad but if all that was on this thing was e-sword HD, it would be well worth the price. I have paper bibles and love reading them as well but having the commentary, parallel references, and the touch of the pencil to locate a verse is simply effortless. Tagging verses and making new categories are my favourite features. I print verses and memorize and meditate on them in the day and use the night mode on the app to study at night. Look at the reviews! Thank you e-sword HD! Thank you Rick! God bless everyone!
