Fasting Tracker Reviews

Great, Well Polished App!

I tried a lot of fasting apps, and this one just feels so well polished and fun to use. I hope they add tracking for ketones and blood glucose, that’s the only complaint I have. Other than that, it’s great!

Amazing app; much better than competing fasting trackers

There are dozens of different fasting trackers on the App Store, and I have tried most of them. This one, by far, is my favorite. First requirement: app has to offer a Watch app. FastMinder has it, many don’t. Second requirement: Watch app has to be clean, easy to use, and provide detail about fasting status and water intake. FastMinder has it, many don’t. Interface: the FastMinder interface is clean and easy to use, and is filled with easy to understand and help statistics. It’s not cluttered with unnecessary features like calorie tracking. Personally, I’m not taking a picture of my food and tracking every single calorie I put in my body. If you want that, this develop has another app for that. Me, I don’t want it and appreciate that it’s not in this app. Water and weight tracking: this app also allows you to track water and your weight loss along your journey. Bottom line, this app is fantastic and extremely helpful.

Should be free

LIFE app was free and very detailed shouldn’t have to pay for it. This app is good but costs… right now with the economy its hard enough paying bills

Best balance of all the fasting apps

Edit: New feature request - please allow us to customize the notifications or just simplify them. The 30 min and final notifications are just way too long. Please just add a simple “fast starts in 30 mins” or “fast is ended.” The current notifications are pretty annoying, take up too much space, have unnecessary emojis, and make me want to turn them off. This is the best fasting app for iOS that balances features with price. It doesn’t have as many features as some of the overpriced subscription-only apps but has more features and is more informative than the very basic cheap fasting apps. The fasting guide and percentage/timer makes it easier to maintain a fast because you can see what fasting phase you’re in - definitely helps motivate you when you’re feeling really hungry but see you’re in a good fat burning phase. I also like how it incorporates weight tracking and sleep. I have 2 minor requests that would make this app perfect in my opinion: 1. Specify days of the week for fasting. I usually aim for 6-7 days a week of fasting but would like the option to skip some Friday or Saturday nights without seeming like I missed my goal when it’s a planned skip in the fasting schedule. 2. Allow us to set a target water goal that we can “hit” and don’t need to add more water. I aim for the 67 oz at least on here but since you can go above it I feel obligated to keep adding water so the amount is accurate. I’d rather just have the option to specify the minimum water target was hit and that’s it.

Great Fasting App!

I’ve been fasting for a couple of years now. I was using the paid version of the Life app, but when they shut down, I had to find a replacement. I tried a bunch of apps and even paid for a few that I will never use 🤦‍♀️ This app was the winner. I like the simplicity of it and without all of the “extras” that I don’t need. I like the Watch app and complication, I like the phone widget and the lock screen live activity. One plus is that I no longer get messages from creepy dudes like I did on the Life app 😂 The only thing I wish it had, like Life app did, was a fasting schedule. I was able to set a schedule such as fast 16:8 Monday through Friday and 12:12 on Saturday and Sunday. It’s not a deal breaker and it’s easy to switch fasting out with one tap, so not a huge deal. I also like this developer’s app, FitnessView and use the widget on my phone and complication on my watch. I highly recommend both apps.

Great Replacement/Option For Life App

RealtrGrl on

I’ve loved incorporating fasting into my everyday life for a number of years now. And have used the Life app from the beginning. Since the Life app has shut down I've been searching for as good or better replacement for both shorter & longer fasts. Life app was free & I loved the features for a free app. None of the free fasting apps I’ve tried have come even close to Life. But FastMinder comes the closest and even offers more although for a fee. But I would rather pay a reasonable charge for something as good or better than have something inferior for free. I’ve been using it for 3 days now. Like Life, FastMinder does delve into what’s happening with each step of your fast and actually broken down even more with FastMinder. This is good. Also, I can easily start and end a fast whenever I like. Also good. One feature I do really miss from the Life app is a + / - toggle beside the active fast to easily add or subtract as many hours as you want to your current fast. Also, strange thing for every fast so far, if I start at say 7:15 pm in evening and go to 1:15 pm next day…. FastMinder records as 17 hours 59 minutes instead of the true 18 hours completed. Should be easy enough to fix. So long review…. but overall a good app so far and comparable replacement for Life. Worth the cost!

Cool App but…

Overall a good app to track fasting and stats. Which the customize option allowed for tracking “eating window” or daily flexibility. But overall not bad.

Honoring God with your body

Are you fat and want a sure victory in the looks department? Try a 72 hour fast. Never fasted before? Try a 6 hour window and fast for 18 hours while you sleep. Fasting every day as a daily routine spikes ketones in the blood stream which melts fat away. Fasting also cause autophagy of the body, which detoxifies the cells and renews your entire body. The bible may renew the mind by reading it but fasting renews the body, by not eating. Make sure you take vitamins and minerals while fasting and drinking plenty of water to keep hydrated. You'll feel like a true winner once it's all over.

Great app, great support

I love this fasting app. It does everything right. Simple, clean, widgets, live activities, and more. The developers are also very responsive. I really recommend this app.
