confusing security. ..recently needed to verify session with desktop. didn't work. should reset security whatnot. severe warnings everywhere, i fear locking me out of everything

Matrix-based, Element X lets you self-host your data or choose from any free public server (the default is matrix.org, but there are plenty of others to choose from). However you host, you have ownership; it’s your data. You’re not the product. You’re in control.
Interoperate natively
Enjoy the freedom of the Matrix open standard! You have native interoperability with any other Matrix-based app. So just like email, it doesn't matter if your friends are on a different Matrix-based app you can still connect and chat.
Encrypt your data
Enjoy your right to private conversations - free from data mining, ads and all the rest of it - and stay secure. Only the people in your conversation can read your messages. And Element X E2EE applies to voice and video calls too.
Chat across multiple devices

Schon ganz ok
Sie App fühlt sich besser an als die alte. Allerdings fehlen noch sehr sehr viele Funktionen, wie beispielsweise die globale Raumsuche, 3pids. Entfernt sich mal die Überschrift „Chats“ in der Übersicht. Das ist in einer App, die primär leider nur für Charts genutzt wird, überflüssig und nimmt Platz weg.
OIDC one.ems.host (Matrix) nicht möglich?
Dringend Server & Client dazu befähigen. @matrix_org #elementone #cloudhostig
So much better than normal app.
Unsure whether feature complete, but so far didn't need to use the default app.
Sliding Sync
Wieso kann ich die App nur mit Sliding Sync benutzen…nervt schon wieder…der Dendrite hat noch kein Sliding Sync.
Kein LogIn mit AppleID möglich
Ich nutze seit langem Elements, würde aber gerne auf Elements X umsteigen. Leider ist es mir nicht möglich, da es keine Möglichkeit zu geben scheint, um sich z.B. mit seiner AppleID bzw. der „hide my email“-Funktion anzumelden. Daher für mich leider nicht nutzbar. Bitte holt das so schnell wie möglich nach, bei Elements geht es ja auch. Danke!

Onboarding miserabel, Registrierung per iOS App nicht möglich
Bitte optimiert umgehend das Onboarding per App Registrierung. Ich passe umgehend meine Bewertung an, aber so kann ich nur 3 Sterne vergeben. Zudem lenkt matrix.org jede(n) User*in aktuell auf Elements, auch wenn Elements X gewünscht ist… Warum? Bitte bessert hier direkt nach. Dankeschön
