Please make it possible to select text! I want to look up definitions of words as I’m reading encyclopedia entries.

I find political bias in their entries. Not cool. As a teacher I expect to find facts without colouring for or against any political party or its representatives. Cancelling subscription.

This isn’t recognizing my subscription either.... And it cost a FORTUNE Update - I found out how to attach your account. There’s a small, underlined “TAP HERE”, but in very tiny print, right under the “subscribe here!” Banner. You don’t really see it. Use that and it will connect your account.

It is sad that it is not recognizing subscription and what a waste of app

The app looks quite dated and doesn’t properly support latest phones. Always forgets about subscription and now it doesn’t recognize the subscription at all so it shows adds all the time. Time to cancel subscription and delete the app.

Over 2 years since last upgrade. Ugly on newer iPhones. UI could use a serious update.

Sure would be nice if there was a one-time purchase option, especially since it looks like it just removes ads. Don't mind at all paying more up front for that option.

The content is top-notch, yet viewing certain articles causes the app to crash which unfortunately ruins the entire experience. As a minor point, there should be an option to disable the page-turn transition effect, which is a bit too garish and quickly becomes tiresome. Without the crashes this is easily 4-5 stars.

As a writer and info junkie, I find EB to be flawed. Good design, functionality, & team of writers. Poor content. It is outdated in many areas, including health; it doesn't have even common entries like "peri-menopause" or "Transactional Analysis". Its DSM info is hopelessly stuck in the past. I also get the feeling that despite the many probable female writers on its team, it is an app funneled by men for men. Sorry, 2 stars. Revamp your content and you're all set. EB's place in many of our hearts haven't changed since the days of the multi-volume tomes, but with such shoddy research, I for one will not be renewing my subscription. If I could get a refund, I would; but I'd like to see it improve. Please note that you ARE competing with www. and Wikipedia. Thanks. Hope to see more changes in the very near future.

If you are a student or professional, and require the ability to copy/paste, or make notes/markup, you can't do that here. It's only for pleasure reading/earth licking type people who don't do any meaningful or useful work, and do nothing but irritate the world with incessant narcissistic blathering about bugger all that really matters. Is that you? Oh sorry. 🙊 Icky icky icky gross app made of poo. Don't buy. Go buy a pack of smokes and a pancake instead. Better value. Peace and love to all.
